Night Time Surveillance

I woke up to be found to be wrapped in my beautiful girlfriend's arms.

I was confused for a second then the flood of memories hit me like a freight train.

I wanted to get up but didn't want to wake up Erica so I carefully removed her arms from around me and went to the main room.

I realized that besides me I was the only one up so I started cooking for everyone.

I decided to make some nice old fashioned pancakes.

I just finished cooking the food when everyone started getting out of bed.

Just to show off I started flipping the pancakes in the air and catching them in the pan.

Once everyone sat down at the counter and some at the couch, just for one last time I flipped another pancake but.

I guess I flipped it a little too hard and it stuck to the ceiling and everyone started laughing.

I flushed red and quickly jumped up to rip it off the ceiling.

Then a idea came to me with this pancake, and my level 16 math skills I could calculate the angle and distance between me and Mike and I could aim it and throw it just hard enough that I could make it right into his mouth.

I quickly did the math and threw it, and it successfully made it into Mike's mouth because he still hasn't stopped laughing.

Everyone looked at me impressed and then went to their own conversations.

After a few minutes I announced the pancakes were ready and served them up.

We all finished eating and then Catherine announced "Children, tonight we will be doing some surveillance because we have pinpointed the coordinates of the place where that chatter came from".

I started to clean the dishes, despite the multiple offers of Catherine wanting to help.

Halfway through cleaning them Erica walked up from behind me and threw her arms around my neck from the back.

"Hi Ben, do you wanna go work out at the hotel gym?" She asked.

"Yeah sure! But after I'm done doing this" I said pointing to the dishes.

TIME SKIP TO NIGHT

Catherine spilt all of us into duos for surveillance on the warehouse where the coordinates indicated.

Me and Erica were looking around for somewhere to get perched up on to see into this giant window the roof.

"Hey E, how about that tree" I pointed to a large and sturdy oak tree that goes way above the warehouse.

"Perfect" She grinned and shot her grappling hook up there and started scaling the tree.

I started to do the same thing as her and made it up to where she stopped climbing and was just staring.

"Hey Erica, what are you looking at?" I questioned.

She just handed me the binoculars and just pointed at the window.

I put the binoculars up to my eyes and what I saw made me furious, I saw Joshua, Zoe, and Murray all alive in the warehouse.

"How the fuck!, How in the hell are they still alive!" I whisper-shouted.

"Ben I need you to calm down please" Erica said soothingly but that wasn't helping.

"No I'm not gonna calm down! Right down there is the people that ruined our lives! One of them was my best friend!" I shouted.

Suddenly after that, my eyelids felt heavy and darkness quickly consumed me.

TIME SKIP TO THE NEXT DAY

I sat up to find myself laying on me and Erica's bed.

"What in the heck?" I muttered, which woke up Erica.

"Erica did you tranquilize me?" I questioned "Y-Y-Yes and I'm not happy that I had too" She replied.

Then out of nowhere she hugged me and started crying "I-I-I gave you the wrong tranquilizer a-and you h-had a chance of not waking up a-agin" She stuttered.

"Hey its ok, I'm here its fine" I said soothingly and rubbing her back.

She had her legs wrapped around my waist and was crying into my chest, and I don't have a shirt on.

"Erica look at me" I said grabbing her face and making her look at me and I laid my forehead against hers.

"Erica there is nothing to be ashamed of or sad about, because I am fine" I said soothingly.

"B-but..." She started to say something but I cut her off "No buts, I am fine everyone makes mistakes" I said.

We just sat there in each other's arms until she eventually fell asleep in my arms and I laid her down and went into the main room.

I made a beeline for Catherine and Violet's room and knocked.

On the other side of the door I heard a come in!

So I opened it and asked Catherine if we can speak in private.

"Violet if you don't mind leaving for a bit..." Catherine asked "Sure" She said and left.

"So Catherine I think this mission is gonna be too hard for me and Erica to handle, I already almost gave away me and Erica's position because I got so angry that Zoe, Joshua, and Murray are still alive"

I gasped for air and continued "And there is a lot of tension in the team right now as you know of, So I was wondering if me and Erica could possibly maybe get, pulled off the mission?".

Catherine just sat on her bed thinking for the next few minutes until she came up with a answer.

"Fine, I'll contact the MI6 and CIA saying your getting pulled off this mission" She said and then ushered me out.

I walked back to me and Erica's room and just before I was gonna open the door my phone dinged.

I got a text from Catherine saying Plane will be here within two hours. Get packed I replied with Ok.

I walked into our room and woke up Erica by tickling her "B-BEN! S-STOP!" She giggled.

"Erica we have to start packing were leaving the mission" I told her and handed her a duffel bag.

"Why?" "Because" "Because why?" "Because I'm worried, ...worried about you".

She kissed me and said "Thank you".

I smiled at her and continued packing up my stuff.

The plane arrived and we said our goodbyes and we took off.

And the whole time back to D.C me and Erica watched movies and cuddled.
