I've been thinking of this version for a few days. A version in which contestants include actually animated characters from various Disney properties. I'll need to think of the extent first. Imagine contestants including Anne Boonchuy and her human friends from Disney's Amphibia, Luz Noceda and her friends from Disney's The Owl House, and Molly McGee and her friends and family from Disney's The Ghost and Molly McGee. Let's just hope Scratch isn't there to help her cheat with no one, not even her, knowing.
On the topic of cheating, I want to make sure nothing like that ever happens. I want to prohibit certain types of coughing, especially to prevent a repeat of history, if any of you guys know about Charles Ingram and the controversies that surround him. He was tried by the state for cheating in the show thanks to people coughing words for him to understand.
Now, going back to contestants, imagine them also including Mickey and friends(if some of them could be understood, and others are smart enough), characters from movies like Wreck-It Ralph and Ralph Breaks The Internet, characters from Big Hero 6(I wonder if Karmi should be animated with CGI.), as well as actual Disney crew members like Sammie Crowley, Darrick Bauchman, etc. Imagine contestants including celebrities that worked with Disney at times like Dan Middleton(DanTDM). There could also be random IRL people of all ages(I'll need to decide the limits.) that could compete, which is what the many other versions did countless times. And let's not forget the Whiz Kids episodes, since they might be important.
Coming up with this version, I have ideas for the lifelines. I'm thinking of going for 6 lifelines, so I can split them among two categories, the classic ones and the unique ones.
Classic Lifelines:
50:50 (Fifty-Fifty): the game's computer eliminates two wrong answers from the current question, leaving behind the correct answer and one incorrect answer. From 2000, the selection of two incorrect answers were random.
Phone a Friend: the contestant is connected with a friend over a phone line and is given 30 seconds to read the question and answers and solicit assistance. The time begins as soon as the contestant starts reading the question.
Ask the Audience: the audience takes voting pads attached to their seats and votes for the answer that they believe is correct. The computer tallies the results and displays them as percentages to the contestant. This lifeline was removed from the 2020 U.S. version and many other versions around the world, as the episodes were taped without an audience due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
Unique Lifelines:
Switch the Question – Used in the US version between 2004 and 2008, and in the UK original during celebrity specials between 2002–2003 and standard episodes between 2010 and 2014, this lifeline became available after a contestant answered the tenth question of the game. The computer replaced the current question with another of the same difficulty. The contestant could not reinstate any lifelines used on the original question. A variation of this lifeline for the US version called "Cut the Question", was brought into use in 2014 for a week-long run of special episodes that featured child contestants, in which it could only be used within the first ten questions. This is also used in the Indian version as a permanent lifeline. But, it is available anytime in the game (except for the highest cash prize question) and participants can choose the topic from which the question is taken from. The difficulty level depends on the cash prize for the question.
x2 (Double Dip) – One of two lifelines created for the Super Millionaire spin-off of the US version. When used, this lifeline allowed contestants to have two guesses at a question, but forbade them from using any other remaining lifelines or from walking away with their current winnings. If the show allows, contestants can first use "50:50" and then used "Double Dip" on the same question, guaranteeing them the correct answer. When the standard US format incorporated a time limit on questions, the show retired "50:50" and replaced it with "Double Dip". This lifeline was also used in the Russian version (without a clock format) but did not replace 50:50.
+1 (Plus One) – Used in the US version of the show from 2015 to 2019 and since 2020. Based on "Ask One of the Audience", the lifeline allows a contestant to invite on a friend from the audience to come and help them answer the question. There is no time limit, but after that question has been answered the friend has to return to the audience. It is currently used in the US version lifeline was called "Ask the Guest" and Vietnamese version of the show from episodes broadcast on 5 May 2020 to present in regards to the COVID-19 pandemic.
That's it for the lifelines, though I might decide to take inspiration from ideas that you guys might have.
I might have a few creative ideas, even for complex questions. I'm also thinking of going for an idea based on my personal experiences with taking tests. Okay, so there were times in which whenever I took tests, all the odd-numbered questions' answers were labeled "A, B, C, and D", while all the even-numbered questions' answers were labeled "F, G, H, and J". I'm thinking of applying that to my version of Millionaire. Here are the questions from my Google Doc until I decide to update it again.
