"Hi," Roseanne said casually as Jennie fell into the seat beside her, not moving her eyes off her in case she was a ghost and was imaging everything.
"Hi..." Jennie replied unsurely.
Roseanne laughed softly at Jennie's reaction, she took advantage of her being stunned and looked at her. She had missed not seeing Jennie in real life, sure there were the vague instagram posts at tourist locations but nothing could compare to seeing her in the flesh a little skinner perhaps, but stunning nonetheless.
"How's your holiday been?" Roseanne asked and took a sip of Jennie's beer.
Jennie furrowed her eyebrows. "Good," she answered quickly so she could move onto more pressing matters. "How did you know I was here?"
"Jisoo," Roseanne admitted a little guilty.
"How did you know I was here here, in this pub?"
Roseanne hesitated. "Snapmaps."
Jennie looked away, she was pissed off that she'd slipped up on something as minor as that. Rose was watching them both from the other end of the bar suspiciously, a little jealously if she was honest.
"Are you mad I'm here?" Roseanne asked.
Jennie looked at her wearily, too exhausted to fight and too over the whole scenario to let her feelings get involved. "I don't... Yeah..." She sighed. "No, no, just surprised obviously."
Roseanne nodded. "I should have told you, but I knew you'd never let me come or even want to see me."
"So you stopped working and flew all this way just to talk?"
Roseanne looked down at the bench. "I just sold the business, I was sick of picking through everyone's rubbish."
"But you love your job."
Roseanne shrugged. "I needed a change."
What she wasn't saying was that ever since Jennie was gone, things were back to her old life pre second affair and everything was boring and dull, even work. So she gave it the flick and booked a one way ticket to wherever Jennie was to try and get her, she had Hanbin and Jisoo on her side, she was fairly confident
Jennie narrowed her eyes, she knew Roseanne wasn't telling her everything and she wanted to know what, but she didn't want to cross any lines.
"I'm sorry," she said, it was all she knew to say.
Roseanne shrugged. "It's fine."
Jennie nodded, she looked out the window and closed her eyes. This all had to be a dream, she couldn't be sitting next to Roseanne after all the times she had imagined it, it just couldn't be real.
"Are you alright, Jen?" Roseanne asked softly, placing her hand on Jennie's arm.
"Yeah." Jennie opened her eyes and looked back at Roseanne. "Just tired."
"When are you coming home?"
Jennie shook her head. "I don't know, maybe -" She cut herself off and sat up taller in her chair. "Is that why you're here?"
Roseanne didn't answer straight away. "I can't lie to you, I swore I wouldn't after everything that we went through, so yes, that's why I'm here."
Jennie laughed. "I should have fucking known! Who asked you to come? And why is it you?"
"Jisoo and Hanbin, they thought you'd listen to me." It was true, Jisoo and Hanbin were worried about Jennie and wanted her home and they thought that out of anyone, Roseanne would have the best chance at getting her away from Europe.
