Robotnik always demanded that Stone knock on entry. He hated being interrupted. He had been in the garage for a few hours now, not even ordering a latte from his faithful assistant. This was out of the blue for Ivo. There wouldn't be a day he missed out on one of Stone's lovely drinks.
This was worrying the poor agent.
He paced around the complex, trying to take his mind away from the lack of a demand for a latte. He wished to check on the Doctor but when he had knocked before, there had been no reply other than the continued blasts of music from the garage. The assistant eventually gathered all his thoughts and confidence to enter. The Doctor would have to understand. It was a health issue. Stone wouldn't know if the mad genius had gotten hurt or worse. He stepped through the door.
The Doctor had been wrapped up in his work for around 32 hours now. Working relentlessly with no sleep. This wasn't the healthiest but the Doctor had a passion for work and cared infinitesimally (HA! LOGAN SANDERS I USED IT RIGHT UNLIKE YOU!) about his health. He'd been fixing the wires and machinery of the underside of his jet, something that sadly took a 'human' touch. He had a loose fitting vest on, his overalls tied around his waist. The vest was rather large for the skinny man's frame but did the job to a decent extent. Agent Stone made his way around the jet, "Turn to Stone" blaring into his eardrums. The Doctor was humming along to it, tinkering away at the fragile machine. The Agent crouched down and put a hand in the Doctor's leg. He knew that he be reprimanded for his actions but he needed a way to snap the Doctor out of his trance. The Doctor hurriedly sat up before hitting his head and hurling back down to the cold oil covered floor.
'STONE!'
"Sorry Doctor. I was worried about you."
'Don't let your human emotions get in my way.' The man practically growled. He had a know hatred for human emotions. They were useless in his eyes. A blockade from true perfection.
"I just wanted to ask if you wanted a coffee."
Robotnik's face softened slightly before going back into his annoyed grimace.
'You know how I like it.' The Doctor quickly got back to work as the agent scurried off to make the coffee the Doctor had demanded. He eventually came back, putting the coffee beside the genius and silently walking off. He didn't want to upset the man more than he had.
Robotnik knew Stone meant well but if he was to soften on the Agent, he might slack off. He cared about the Agent. He really did but he didn't want to show weakness. People would take advantage of it. Manipulating him. That was the last thing he wanted.
For the both of them.
(The taking advantage things MIGHT be a hint for what's to come~)
