A Pixar Star is Born (Rodney Copperbottom X Reader)

Chapter 11

You stayed in the bed to recover all morning. Even though you had a robot, the nurses still wanted to take him back to give him a full check just in case of anything. 

But during that time, Fender came up to the room looking excited excited! "Hello! Is the new sunshine here?"

" He's alright, Fender." 

"That was quite the experience! And Rodney he was wonderful!" You said

"You were wonderful, (Y/N)!" Rodney replied.

"Well, I could not have done it without you and I'm so glad you were here with me!" The two of you hugged and kissed. 

So where is he?" Fender asked.

"He went back with the nurse. They wanted to make sure of anything." You explained.

But then the door opened with the nurse holding the robot child's hand.

"There he is!" Rodney told Fender quietly just before pointing to your child . Fender looked at him with shock as if this was not quite what he was expecting but he was still amazed. 

You introduced your robot child referring to him as Uncle Fender. 

"Welcome to the big world!" He sang happily. "What's his name?"

"We don't really know a name for him yet." Rodney explained.

But then later on it was time to go home that afternoon. 

 While riding in the wheelchair, you all came out of the hospital room ready to take your new robot baby home.  

Mom was very excited about the interesting looking future it was going to be with her new grandson as all continued to move out. That made her wish to do something a strange but fun for him. "Let's drive by Chick Fil A again get a picture of him next to his first meal!" She said.

"Ahhh.. but mom.." You tried to say before she cut you. 

"It's only for the picture sweetie! The food will be for you!" She replied. 

"Oh goody!"You were leaving the hospital right around lunchtime so it sounded like a nice idea. 

You ordered the food you were hoping to get yesterday and enjoyed it with a success of your new child's picture taken.  From looking at the picture mom took, you decided to post on the web. That was a success too! As you ate, a scary thought came to your mind. 

"Oh no! What about dad? He's going to be furious once he sees that our child is not human!"

Rodney wrapped an arm around you for comfort.

"I will take care of him." Mom replied. But then Rodney had some exciting news.

"(Y/N), Bigweld has updated our mansion with some new rooms for you. He's found more in his collection that he thought would be perfect for you. He's thinking about putting something new on your car too." 

"Oh Rodney that is wonderful! I cannot wait to see, but I would like to stay here for a little while and spend some time with our new baby."

"Of course we can!" He replied.

It was not too long before you all got home. Dad was there to congratulate you all! "Yeah! The odd couple is finally home!" You rolled your eyes and grunted quietly because it was rather annoying for dad to still call you and Rodney an odd couple."

"Do you have the new baby with you?" He asked. "Have I got the human grandchild I've been waiting for?"

"Well, no. It's a robot but one with a very big personality. We think it's a boy but we don't know what his name will be yet." Rodney explained.
