Sophia's P.O.V

I set up the board game as the little girl watched amusingly. Something about her gave me the creeps. Once finished setting the game up we sat on each side of the table.

"We have to figure out the killer before he finds us." The little girl remarked, staring down at the board. What was that supposed to mean?

"Alright, but what if we don't find him?" I asked picking up a card and read it. She looked at me with her head tilted slightly.

"Don't you know silly," she giggled softly, "he'll come and find us." she finished. She moved her piece and glanced out the window.

Something tells me this isn't going to end well. I don't know what this "murderer" is going to do and I wasn't willing to find out.

--One hour later--

We still hadn't found the killer and we were both getting tired. It was time to call it quits. I cleared the board and put it away. The girl stared at the door with terror in her eyes. I need to put her somewhere safe.

"Hey come with me." I stuck out my hand to her. She hesitantly took it and followed close behind me. I led her down into our basement where E.J stayed.

"Do I have to stay here?" She questioned looking at all the sharp objects around her.

"For now, yes." I said putting her into the bed and tucking her in. I felt bad for her. I bet her parents used to do this for her.

I made my way back up the stairs. Walking into the main room I saw the main door wide open. I walked over shutting it. Bad move.

"The scene of the crime was too difficult for you," A raspy voice whispered behind me, "now it is your turn to be my next victim." The voice cackled. I felt something hard hit the back of my head. Then I saw darkness.
