A/N: This is my original story I just transferred it from AO3

"He's quirkless," her mother silently whispered, as she gave a weary glance at her brother who sat in front of their home computer.

She'd gotten signs already of her quirks manifestation, however he never did. Everyone assumed he was a late bloomer, but days turned into weeks and slowly months. Her mother, anxious for her little boy, took him to get examined. Her brother who dearly wished to save lives, would never get that chance.

"I can still be a hero right?"Izuku asked with tear fiilled eyes, "even when it's hard, he's always smiling."

A forced smile plastered on his face but it wasn't enough to conceal the tears that trickled down his face. She stared, suddenly feeling guilt, guilt she had a quirk and he didn't. Yet he never complained or shamed her, all he did was give her reassurance. That was the day she decided she would always be on his side.

"Let's make our agency, I'll be the brawn's and you the brains", she offered

His eyes brightened for the first time in a while, god how she'd miss the bright look in his eyes.

During preschool the other kids were quick to pick on Izuku, for being quirkless. Her on the other hand weren't afraid to shoot fire back. She'd inherited your mothers quirk, telekinesis along with her father's quirk pyrokinesis. She could only make small flames, but fire was fire, it would still burn.

"Let's go", she yawned out, wanting to hurry home, yet he stood frozen eyes glued in the distance

Without a word he sprinted off, baffled you, ran after him and her mood worsened. There stood Katsuki Bakugou, a blond spiky haired boy. With a quirk to make explosions from his fists, alongside him were two other boys.

"Stop it Kacchan!", Izuku cried out as he stood protectively in front of a fallen boy, probably Bakugou's prior victim

"Move Deku", Bakugou grinned, as he brought his fist and palm together

"Stop or I'll make you" Izuku bravely spoke up, but the trembling in his body gave away how scared he was

"Really?", Bakugou's grin grew, as he stepped forward making Izuku flinch

"Stop it, Katsuki", she stepped forward, making the blonde falter slightly as she stood blocking his path

he scoffed earning snickers from his friends, "I'm not scared to hit a girl."

"Good me neither", she shot back

"Need your sister to save you?"

"Need your entourage?" she shot back

His friends began hooting, yearning a glare from the blonde whose smug look had disappeared.

"Imagine the disappointment your father has knowing you're caring his-" he didn't get to finish as she was on him

"Finish that sentence!", she snarled, as she held him by the collar, "DO it!"

"Filthy blood!"

She weren't sure what happened next, but they were both dirty, bruised and very much tired. Izuku stood back with wide tearful eyes. Bakugou had left, screaming insults as he went, she laid on the dirt floor heaving.

"Let's go home", Izuku whispered, tugging at her sleeve

Bakugou's taunts followed her even when she stepped inside her house. Her clothes are covered in dirt and her hair is now a mess. Her mother anxiously fanned over her, as she offered meek answers.

"It was Bakugou", she flatly replied as Izuku stood back

[_______]

Izuku never failed to make excuses for Bakugou's actions, she didn't not when it caused him harm. She wasn't afraid of the blonde then again a hero didn't need to be scared of anything.

However when things changed entering middle school, Izuku wanted to fly alone to prove he too could be a hero without help.

"You can't possibly expect to win a fight!", she snapped as he stood head lowered, "Do you think your notebook will keep you safe?!"

"At least the notebook doesn't make me feel like a failure!", he screamed and gasped as his hands collapsed over his mouth. It was too late, the words had been said.

Her chest stung, as a knot formed in her throat, "Fine, go."

After that day, she stopped taking care of him and stopped using her quirk around him. She did help when he asked but mainly she'd verbally stop whoever was bothering him. Not once through middle school did she use her quirk. This led to rumors sparking that both twins were quirkless.

Bakugou, who also attended the school, never bothered to correct the rumors. Yet even with the rumors no one batted an eye towards her. Maybe it was because Izuku provided them with enough entertainment or because she'd never given them the reactions they wanted.

Whatever the reason, they never bothered her. Her quirk however grew more and more with each day. She trained at the beach everyday without failure, honing it down till she knew each ember by memory.

But there were always drawbacks, she could only wield it, but to do so you had to feed it. Meaning she was constantly hungry depending on how big the flames were. This could cause both major weight gain as well as loss.

Water being an obvious weakness. Bakugou's blast couldn't hurt her even if he tried, her body would automatically absorb his attacks. After that he never threw an explosion her way.

A/N: I decided to change it from a (y/n) to an oc twin instead
