Kelli x Edwina (Dear Edwina Fanfic)

The old friend

(I would like to say this is a joke story, don't take it for real)

     It has been 13 years since the kindergarten play in Paw Paw, Michigan, when Scott proclaimed his love to Edwina at the end of the performance. Now Scott has married Edwina, but she just isn't happy with him anymore.

Edwina's POV:

Edwina opened up her new flip phone and scrolled through the numbers, Scott, Katie, Myra, Joe, Bobby, Lars, Annie, and Kelli ... Edwina's best friend since they were children. Edwina has had feelings all her life for Kelli but felt pity for Scott and married him. Speaking of which, Scott walked into the kitchen where Edwina was sitting and hugged her, "See you soon, be home late tonight." and with that he was off to his job as a mechanic.

Edwina decided to call over Kelli for a while to tell her how she felt, Kelli knocked on the door and she let her inside. They ate brownies and drank lemonade. "Listen Kelli, we've been friends for a long time now..." Edwina said, wiping her face in her sleeve. "Yeah, what's the matter?" Kelli replied. "Listen I know it's not right but I wanted to say that I-". Their conversation was cut short by a knock on the door...
