As he stepped out of the car he saw her there sitting in the park on the green grass. He couldn't see her face because she was sitting with her back facing him but he could tell that over the last two years she had grown.  He smiled to himself, wondering how she would react to seeing him.  He started to get a bit nervous now.

She must have felt his eyes on her because she turned around to look at him and the moment she saw him she scramble to her feet, slipping on the dewy morning grass.  He was suddenly lost for words. He had no clue what to say to her. She was still shorter than him but she had grown up over the years, that was for sure.

She suddenly ran up to him and jumped into his arms almost knocking them both to the ground but he regained his balance. She had her arms wrapped around his neck and he wrapped his a bit above her waist keeping her suspended off the ground. She berried her face into his neck and started to cry.

He whispered into her ear, "Why are you crying?," in a soft tone. She sniffled and responded without looking him in his eyes and said, "I am mad at you."  He could tell she wasn't angry at all and he could still feel tears rolling down her face. "And why are you mad at me?," he asked her still using his soft tone. She started to sob and sank to the ground. He went down with her, maintaining the hug and started to stroke her hair, trying to calm and comfort her. "Y-you grew up without me," she said in a weak voice, sobbing through her words.

Now he could feel tears running down his own face.  "I-I-I am so sorry, I didn't mean to," he said, not knowing what she would say next. She removed her head from by his neck and looked him  in his eyes. He took in every bit of it, every color he could see in her eyes, the blues and greens all in the perfect ratio and her bright red lips that were natural. She said, "You have no idea how much I have missed you," her voice quiet and soft. He wiped the tears of of her face and the wiped his own. "And you have no idea how much I  have missed you." His reply made her smile and he smiled back at her.

All the memories he had with her the last time he was here were rushing through his head. But right now; in that moment; he never wanted to leave.
