Jayda Cheaves.
10 am

"ma get up" I jumped up not remembering i fell asleep with him.

"pop did we have-"

"no, you asked me to stay here and i offered to sleep ona couch or sum but you asked me to stay in here witchu. relax ma you good" once he said that, that gave me a relief to everything i was thinking.

"oh. i'm sorry i thought-"

"don't apologize ma you're good. i wouldn't have allowed anything to happen"

he's so sweet. i'm glad he isn't the type of dude to do that.

"thank you" i say to him genuinely

"you're welcome" he replied looking at me

no female should even have to thank someone for something like this. but the people in this world now are so sick.

"i should probably get ready for my day pop"

"yeah ima head out.. thank you for giving me the time of the day. i'll hit you ma" he says walking up to me hugging me and kissing my forehead.

gentleman.

i'm starting to like him already

i just smile at his comment and follow him to the door.

"bye pop" i state waving at him. he gave me a sly smile and waved back.

now back to reality.

"ma'am i'm doing everything i can. just please be patient they will come to you when they're ready"

"i want to see him now" the lady says with tears falling down her face.

i felt so bad.

being a nurse at a hospital especially is so hard.

you have to learn to control your emotions 100%

i softly grab her hands "listen mama, you are strong, your son is too. he's gonna get through this surgery and have many more days with you. they don't allow anyone in the room with them when surgery is being performed. but i promise you everything is okay and as soon as the surgery is done you will be able to see him."

"okay.. thank you so much. i'm sorry for my outburst. i really didn't mean to yell at you i just really want to make sure he's okay" she says

"don't worry, it's okay love no need to apologize. do need anything? water? coffee? everything is in the cafe.. on me don't worry about it"

"thank you so much" she says pulling me into a hug.

she's going through a lot right now. her son was shot and got dropped off here in critical condition.

working at a hospital isn't for the weak. we see and deal with a lot everyday.

working at the hospital is my
main job, and being an ambassador is my side job.
