"Uh, Joe?" she said, as he set her on the floor. "You can let go now."
"Yeah, Joe. Let her go." Jon growled.
"Where are you going, alofa?"
"Bubba, put the sign on the door for me, please. I'll be right back." she said, scurrying to the employee locker room.
"Was it something we said?"
"No, sir. She's getting into something more comfortable. This is what she calls 'Angel mode'. Watch and you'll see what I mean." Bubba laughed.
"Bubba, hit it." she called out to him.
She came out in a pair of shorts, sneakers, and a WWE tank top. Her hair high on the crown of her head in a Shield bow.
She snatched her notepad from her apron and tossed it on a cart containing no less than six urns of coffee, two urns of tea, one urn of milk, one urn of cream, and every sweetener known to man. On the second shelf were the coffee cups, silverware and napkins.
Within minutes, she had everyone's beverages taken care of. She collected all of their orders, and sailed up and over the counter to help Bubba in the kitchen.
"Holy shit! That girl can move." Jon said, his eyes never losing sight of her.
"Stop looking at her ass, Lopez." Joe scolded.
"Like you weren't checking her out too. Don't even try to lie about it, you dog." Colby chuckled.
"Keep it down. She'll hear you." Jon said.
"Jon, what's going on?" she asked, placing his meal down on the table in front of him. "And why do you look like you want to kill Colby and Joe right now?"
"Shop talk, honey. Just a little disagreement. Nothing to worry about."
"Okay. Colby, Joe, I don't know what it was, but Jon looks awful upset. So, no more, okay?"
"Okay, sweets."
"Anything for you, alofa."
"Honey? Who made this?" Jon asked, taking another bite from his plate.
"I did. Why? Is there something wrong?"
"No. It's the best I've had in my life. What did you do to it?"
"It's my specialty. It's made with Turkey instead of pork. I can't eat pork or beef, so most of what I cook is turkey or chicken. Enjoy your meal."
she smiled and went to the next table.
"Sorry, for the wait. Mr. Galloway."
"Drew, please love." he smiled, as she set his food in front of him.
"Mr. Devitt."
"Finn, Grá."
" Mr. Farrelly." he scowled. "Shamy."
His face erupted in a smile. "Thank you, Maeve."
"And Mr. Dunne."
"Pete."
"Can I get you anything else?"
"Could you get me a refill on me tea, poppet?" the bruiserweight asked with a smile.
"Give me just a second." she said, turning on her heel to get it for him.
"You're an arse. You haven't even finished half of it yet." Drew said.
"Stop being hard on her, fella. She's alone. She's doing a great job."
"I'm not bein a wanker. I do need a refill. I knew I was going to finish in a minute, and I didn't want to make her have to come back around for it." he said, finishing the cup.
"Here you go, Pete. Will there be anything else?"
"No. Thank you, poppet."
"You're welcome." she smiled, before going to the next table. "Mr. W-"
"Austin, Kofi, and E, please." Kofi smiled. "Thank you so much, Lari. We're starving."
"We had a hard match-"
"With the Usos. Yes, I know. I was looking forward to it." she smiled. "But duty calls, so I had to miss the show."
"I'm sorry you couldn't be there. We won, if that helps." E smiled.
"It wouldn't matter to me. I like the competition. The end result is just icing on the cake." she giggled, as E took a swipe at the whipped cream on his pancakes and licked it off his finger.
"E! Come on, man. A little restraint here." Kofi scolded. "Sorry. You'll have to excuse him. He's stupid."
"No, that's you, Kofi." a man said from the next table with a huge laugh.
"Smartass." Kofi laughed.
She ran back to retrieve more meals. "Crank it up, Bubba. I'm losing a little step." she said, loading up her cart once more.
"Fallen Angel" cranked through the speakers, and she was off again.
"Mr. Riddle. Mr. Orton. Mr. Flair. Mr. Michaels." she said with a mile wide grin. "Mr. Leveque. And -"
"Jeff, sweetness, just Jeff." he smiled.
"Alright, Jeff."
"Miss Angel, I can't keep up."
"Excuse me." she said, flying politely through the other tables, before rushing into the kitchen to aid Bubba.
"What's up next? The Mysterios, the Usos, Chad and Otis." she said, putting each meal on the plates. "You're doing great. We'll get through this as long as my feet hold out. I'll be right back."
"What the fuck? Open up! We're fucking hungry!"
Her response to the yelling and pounding on the door wasn't expected. She left everything where it was and ran out of the room in tears.
"God dammit." Bubba cursed. "Tell them to knock it off." he said, following the small brunette to the employee locker room.
"What's going on?" Joe asked confused.
"Honey?!" Jon said, following Bubba.
They found her curled up in a ball, her arms tightly gripping the chair she had pulled in front of her.
"Lari? It's okay. It's not him." Bubba said.
"Let me." Jon said, sitting on the floor in front of the clearly frightened woman. Reluctantly, Bubba left her to
Jon's care.
"Honey? You want to come out of there for me, please? No one's going to hurt you. It's just me." he said, taking hold of the chair and moving it aside.
"Jon, what's going on? Is she okay?" Joe asked as he and Colby came in, causing her to jump.
"I don't know. And thank you for making it worse." he said. "Come on, honey. It's just Colby and Joe. They're worried about you and so am I." he slowly reached out and took her hand. "That's it, honey. Come on out." he said, immediately pulling her into his chest.
"Sweets? Are you okay? What's going on?" Colby asked, as she trembled in Jon's arms.
"Back off, man." Joe said. "Let her calm down a little, before you give her the third degree." the Samoan said, stepping closer and rubbing her back gently.
"It's her ex." Bubba said.
