We all finish up and after my mom pulls me aside in the hall, great.
"Sweetie, we want to know whats going on with you.. we are worried about you.." my mom says
"Mom im fine why would you be worried im fine?" I roll my eyes
"Stop with the attidude. Sarah is mad at you and thats very unusual besides we heard her.."
"Mom stop she is making that up because she is just... i dont know." I snap
"Are you and Rafe.. I just want you to be safe and he is too old for you plus he doest make smart choices..." My mom says
"Oh my f- god I dont like Rafe I know he is a bad guy and I never ever would do anything with him." I say walking away to see Rafe waiting around the corner he probably heard that whole conversation...
"Um hi?" I say trying to walk when he stops me
"Where are you going?" He asked inches away from me I looked back my mom was giving me the look
"Why do you care?" I said trying to walk away he shoved me back
"Don't walk away when im ta-" Rafe gets cut off by my dad walking up to us
"Rafe I think you should go." My dad says he nods and leaves my house
I walk away into my room changing into a floral romper and head out on my bike to John B.s house. I hoped he forgave me, he didn't really hold grudges unlike Kiara. I finally get there seeing all of them on the porch I run up to them JJ got up hugging me.
"I missed you so much" I say hugging him
"We all missed you so much." John B. says I sit down next to JJ on a bench
"Guys something crazy happened last night and I want you to come with me to the cops incase something happens.." I say
"WHAT? Y/n, cops that's new." Pope says laughing
"Rafe he-" I explain
"What kissed you again?" Kiara scoffed
"Hey stop it." John B. said
"No he tried to..he tried to kill me." I say my eyes tearing up
"He WHAT!? lets go now." JJ said standing up
"Wait wait what are we gonna say Ward has the cops in his pocket, plus no one will believe me." I sigh
"shes is right." Pope nods
"well then let's go find Rafe." JJ says
"NO he is unhinged he will hurt you and I dont want that.." I shout
"ok so what we just sit around and do nothing?" John B. said looking at me
"I mean he said sorry plus he was acting normal this morning.." I mumble
"Oh so you hang out with him after he tries to kill you, nice to know." Kiara laughs sarcastically
"Can you stop being such a bitch, we had a family breakfast you know how close our families are so stop it." I say walking off
"Y/n where are you going!?" JJ shouts running over to me
"I don't know anywhere else im not wanted here."
"Yes you are Kiara is just... hurt but we miss you a lot. Please just be safe." JJ says hugging me
I nod getting on my bike riding off. I had no one to go to Sarah was mad at me, so was Kiara, and My family thinks i am in danger or something.
I ride my bike to a local little coffee shop called "kokos" and read a book I had brought with me while I drank my usual order: an oat milk hazelnut iced latte. I didn't bring my phone because I didn't wanna talk to anyone so I looked at the clock seeing it had been 2 hours so I headed home.
Stepping inside no one was there, luckily.
I grabbed my phone sitting on my window seat to see a lot of missed calls and texts from him. I decided to call back because well I had no one nothing to lose.
'Hello?' he picked up right away
'Y/n I swear to fucking god if you tell anyone else you'll regret it.' he snapped
'wha-'
'don't play dumb your little friend JJ payed me a visit he didn't stand a chance but its-' he spat
'what oh my god is he ok did you hurt him!?' I shout
'no no he will be fine but he won't say a word now and you better not either.'
'why shouldn't I your a murder.'
'don't say those fucking words.' he hung up
I call JJ no answer, shit. why did I even tell them I knew someone would fuck it up.
I decide to ride my bike to tannyhill knocking on the door Sarah answered rolling her eyes.
"Rafe is in his room." She said pointing
"I didn't come to see him I came to see you and apologize." I say walking in
I hug her and she hugs me back surprisingly.
"I'm so sorry I love you. Your my best friend and I can't lose you." I say
"Its ok. I missed you i'm not mad." She says shooting a soft smile at me
We go to her room and listen to music, we paint our nails, do kareoke, prank called people, and just had a good time which I really needed.
We decide to sneak some beers from her dads cooler and when we are walking out we see Rafe In the kitchen doing a line right on the counter looking up at me rolling his eyes.
Sarah looks at me shaking her head when she catches me staring at Rafe as he walks off to her room.
We grab the beers sneaking back to her room we drink them while watching some rom com. It was one of the best nights I have had In a long time. It's now almost 1 am and Sarah fell asleep I am just reading when I ended up falling asleep with the book in my hands not long After Sarah.
I woke up to Rafe swinging the door open abrupltly. I jumped out of bed grabbing him pushing him out of her room shutting the door behind us. He just looked at me not saying anything just staring into my eyes scanning my body.
"Rafe?" I say putting my hand on shoulder
"I just- I want to talk." He mutters
"Talk its the middle of the night you just woke me up!" I say looking at him concerned
"I know I know I just- its just, I can't stop thinking about you and it's like bothering me and i've never felt this way it's so irretating." He says pacing around in front of me
"I'm.. sorry?" I say giggling a little not really knowing how to react
"It's not a fucking joke ok." He said pushing me against the wall
I widen my eyes "Rafe i've been thinking about you too but-" I say he leans in closer, and closer.
