chapter 8

Kevin woke up to the sun light blinding him. He had forgotten to close the shades the night before. After a few minutes of him trying to fall back asleep, Kevin gave up and went downstairs to eat. The silence surrounding the house told him that his parents had left to go to work. Instead of changing he decided to just laze around in his pj’s all day and finish his homework, as well as watch some tv. In the middle of his eating the silence started to bother him, so he proceeded to blast music through the house using the speakers installed in the ceiling. He connected to his phone and played and sang along to every word(especially 3:01). Just as the song ended he realized the windows were open and someone was knocking at the door. He quickly ran towards the door with the cereal bowl in one hand, while turning down the music with the other.

“Yes?”Kevin said out of breathe when he answered the door

“Loved your singing.”Iris said raising an eyebrow

“Thanks. I didn’t know the window was open.”Kevin said, blushing slightly because Andy was also there

“Can we come in?”Ivy asked

“Yeah, it’s just me. My parents left to go to work sometime earlier.”Kevin said stepping aside to let them

“Cool, hey can I pick a song?”Iris asked

“Yeah, sure.”Kevin said handing Iris his phone

Iris scrolled through the songs he had before she finally decided on one

“Umm, why are you guys here?”Kevin asked

“Iris and Ivy showed up at my house and dragged me here.”Andy said sitting on the stool in the kitchen

“Ok, so why are you two here?”Kevin asked Iris and Ivy

“We were bored so we came here to have some fun.”Ivy answered

“Ok, but why did you drag Andy here?”Kevin asked

“Oh, because we wanted to do something and it involved Andy. Have you done any arts and crafts recently. Cause thats what we wanna do.”Ivy answered

“SOME LIKE FAST AND SOME LIKE SLOW. LADIES COME AND LADIES G-GO!”Iris sang

“Ok anyways. Do you have a canvas, crayons, a hot glue gun, and a blow dryer?”Ivy asked

“I have cryans, a blow dryer, and maybe an art canvas. But the closest thing I have to a hot glue gun is super glue.”Kevin said

“Cool. Go get them.”Iris said stopping her singing

“Kevin ran upstairs and in a few minutes was back down with his arm filled with all the things

“Iris you handle the glue. Ivy you get the blow dryer. Me and Kevin will put the crayons on the canvas.”Andy instructed

They all agreed to this plan and started working on it. The resulting product was magnificent. After looking at it for a little while Ivy decided to draw a girl under an umbrella on the canvas. While Ivy was doing this Iris was playing with the glue and “accidently” got glue on Kevin and Andy. They both didn’t know they had glue on them so when Kevin bent down to pick up the pencil he dropped and accidentally bumped Andy, they got stuck together.

“Well. How are we suppose to get this off?”Andy asked

Kevin’s neck had gotten stuck on Andy’s leg.

“Hehe, the, he, only way to get it to unstick is to wash it under warm water. I don’t think you guys can do this in the sink. I think you guys have to get in the shower.”Iris said laughing

“Great. Umm, can you make it up the stair?”Andy asked

“Wait. You’re serious.”Kevin said blushing slightly

“Ya, how else are we suppose to get this off?”Andy asked

“Umm, I don’t know. But there's a bathroom down here, except instead of a shower its a tub so.....”Kevin said his face turning more red each word he spoke

Kevin told Andy where to go until they ended up in the tub. They then proceeded to wash the glue off, the whole thing being extremely awkward.  

“Ok, we are leaving bye guys.”Iris called as they walked out the door

“Well there goes my ride.”Andy mumbled to himself

“I can give you a ride home if you want.”Kevin offered

“Really. Thanks.”Andy agreed

“K, let me just get my keys.”Kevin said running upstairs.

They hopped in Kevin’s car and Andy told him the directions to his house. Afterwards KEvin drove home and spent the rest of the day finishing up his homework.
