Young Remus Lupin X reader//

Platform 9 3/4

It's my 5th year at Hogwarts school of witchcraft and wizardry. I was standing on Platform 9 3/4 all alone, considering it was particularly early.

My parents work in the Ministry of Magic, and because their work starts unusually early. I have to be dropped off early.

Oh, how I miss my friends! I miss how James would always be cocky around Lily, how Sirius was always into every girl he ever meets (not me, Lily or Molly of course) Peter, how he was always shy and didn't speak as much, Remus, I miss all his unexpected hugs. Lily and Molly, I just miss hanging out with them!

"Y/n!" I heard Lily's voice from behind me. I whipped my head around in time to see Lily running over to me, her long orange hair bouncing as she ran.

"Lily!" I greeted happily as we both hugged. Once we pulled out I asked "did James pester you?" My best friend laughed "yes. I didn't write back of course!" I smiled at her before giving her a high five.

"Speaking of the Devil" she says glumly as I heard a certain voice ring from behind me. I turned around to see the Marauders. There were James, Sirius, Peter and... Remus!

I ran to the four boys and engulfed Remus in a huge hug, the other 4 people smirking. I released Mooney and hugged Sirius, then Peter, and then last but not least... James.

"How are you guys?" Lily asked as she walked over and did the same, only giving James a quick hug. "Great! And how about you Lily Flower?" I grew mad at the nickname and Remus must have noticed because he grabbed my hand.

"That's y/n's nickname for me" Lily warned, James looked at me and a look of fear crossed his face. "Got it" he confirmed. "We still have 1 hour, Mooney!" Sirius complained after looking at his watch.

"Why are you guys here so early?" I asked, Remus turned a light shade of red as Sirius and James looked frustrated. "Uh- "Remus was cut off by Sirius "ohh, you wanted to see y/n, no?" Remus looked down but nodded slightly.

I smiled at Mooney. I realised he still held my hand and I smiled even more. I dragged Remus over to a wall and we sat down, the other's following in suit. "How was your summer, y/n?" Sirius asks me. Sirius is like my brother, along with James, there absolute goons.

"It was ok, how was your's?" I asked, not wanting to get in to detail about my actually horrible summer. "Meh, usual" I laughed at this. I rested my head on Remus' lap, my legs over James as Remus stroked my hair ever so softly.

Remus's POV

Y/n's hair was so soft. It always is. I noticed Evans was looking at y/n intensely after she said her summer was good, Lily got up after staring and asked y/n, "can you come with me, please? I won't keep her long Mooney" I nodded and y/n sighed before kissing my cheek and getting up, walking a little bit away from us.

"You like her don't you?" James asked, I looked at him confused "who, Evans? No" I said simply but truely, it wasn't Lily I loved. "He meant y/n" Sirius and Peter piped in in unison.

Lily's POV

"What happens during summer? What really happened?" I asked sternly as we walked a fair bit away from the boys. Y/n sighed deeply. "Parents became abusive over the summer..." she said blankly as she looked at the floor.

My face softened and I pulled her into a bone crushing hug. "I'm so sorry, Y/n/n" once we pulled out I could se Remus staring at us with a worried look on his face. "Come on, let's go back" I said and she nodded before walking back and laying back down on Remus and James.

Y/n's POV
We head the familiar noise of the Hogwarts express train, I got up as did the rest of my friends and we all piled in a compartment in the middle of the train. I was sitting closest to the window on the left side of the compartment door with Sirius and James next to me, Lily, Remus and Peter all sat on the other side.

I sat across from Remus and I noticed he was staring at me with gentle eyes, once I looked at him he looked down at the floor blushing. Bloody hell Remus Lupin what do you do to me!?

"Y/n!" James' voice pulled me back into reality. "What!?" I yelled annoyed, James looked terrified and Lily looked at me suspiciously. "Go get your robes on. We will be there in about 20-30 minutes" I sighed dramatically before grabbing my robes and walking to the bathroom:

Remus's POV

"Lily" I whispered to the girl sitting next to me. She turned around as Padfoot, Prongs and Wormtail were having a conversation.

"What happened during y/n's summer. I know it wasn't good" Lily sighed before shaking her head "it's not my place to tell you, Remus. Ask her yourself when we get to school" I nodded slightly and continued staring out the window, watching the world fly pass.

Y/n came back minutes later in her Gryffindor robes, I was already in mine along with the others. "Hey" I said shyly to the beautiful girl, she smiled at me lightly "hey, puppy" she teased. I flushed immensely and Sirius smirked "someone's happy" James exclaimed.

..........Time skip to Common Room.............

"You guys missed the Sorting Ceremony!" Lily announced as she stormed into the Common Room.

"Sorry?" Y/n said, well, asked. Lily sighed before sitting down next to her on the couch as Sirius, James and I sat on the floor.

"I'm going to go to bed" I said and raised up from the floor. Y/n looked at me and gave me a weak smile before getting up and walking to me, she kissed my cheek then my forehead.

"Night Puppy" she whispered in my ear as I flushed crimson. "Night beautiful" I teased back before I said goodnight to everyone else and walked up to the boys dormitories, dreaming about y/n

Y/n's POV

"How's your 'puppy', y/n?" Lily asked me as we sat on our beds the next morning. "He's good for what I can tell" I stated honestly. He seemed really happy lately.

"Y/n?" I heard along with a knock on my door. I recognised the voice immediately. Lily was about to ask who it was before I jumped up and opened the door, tackling Remus into a hug.

Remus and Lily laughed, he wrapped his arms around my waist. "What's up, Mooney?" I asked as he seemed ad though he wanted to ask me something.

"C-can I know what actually happened during you're summer... I know you. Better then anyone. Maybe not Lily though. What I'm trying to say is please let me know what happened" he spoke quickly, Lily smiled sadly and I sighed before pulling him in and closing the door, pushing him on to my bed and sitting besides him, my hands intertwined with his in his lap.

"There really isn't much to say, other then my parents becoming abusive" I spoke sadly. Remus's expression softened and his eyes turned glossy. Lily sighed a little before coming over and kissing my forehead "I'm gonna go for breakfast, all right?" I nodded but Remus was still staring at me.

"I-I'm so sorry, y/n..." his voice was sympathetic. I smiled at him "it's all right; come on, let's get to breakfast" he sighed before smiling as well and we walked down to the great hall.

The hinges squealed as the large doors opened to reveal 4 long tables, Slytherin, Gryffindor, Hufflepuff and Ravenclaw. Remus and I sat at the Gryffindor table next to Lily and Sirius, Peter and James were sitting on the other side of us.

"Good morning Y/n, Remus" Sirius greeted.
