Vikram was working late, almost all have left from his team, he have always been a workaholic, tomorrow being the project submission its no surprise. He logged off after completing the final changes in PPT. He checked his watch and it was 9 pm already, to his bad luck it was heavily raining. He let out a sigh and decided to start amidst the rain as it appeared the rain will not stop any time soon. He tried to start his bike and it did not start, "Sutham...." he gave his bike a kick out of frustration and walked towards the bus stop just outside his office campus. He knew the last bus to his locality would have left by now and called to his roomate. "Machan vandhu pick up pannu da, please please last time ini late ah kelambave maaten" pleaded Vikram. "Unaku idhe velada mapla, mazha vera peiyudhu iru vandhu tholayuren" replied Pugazh, who was his friend since childhood and was working in a nearby office

Vikram sat on the stone bench in bus stop and took his phone to play games that's when he noticed the charge is very less and he face palmed "can this day turn out any more bad". He had a look around and to his surprise the place was deserted, which was very unusual. With nothing to do, he removed his id, stretched his arms and relaxed himself a bit. A girl came running there from his office, she was in a hurry. She checked the timing and cursed herself "Shit....". It was so loud and later she realized she was not alone and one more person was sitting there. "Sorry" she said and tried to do something with her phone, she moved here and there with phone in air. She finally gave up and sat on the same stone bench at the other corner. He thought of asking her problem but decided otherwise as she may feel weird. Few minutes passed in silence, she came up to him and asked "Hi, I am Shivanya can I use your phone to book cab, there is no signal in my phone". He immediately gave his phone. "Cabs lam cancel panranga, better call a friend" said Vikram.

Sivu nodded and called her friend "Hey enna vandhu pick up panniko kitta dana irukka, na ipo hostel pona raatchasi enna kondrum" said Sivu. "Edhu ipo dan kelamburiya en veedu pakkathula irukku aana na veliya iruken Sivu, 1 hr wait pannu vandhuren, thaniya va irukka" asked her friend. Sivu turned to look at Vikram and said "Illa inga oruthar irukaaru, en office dan bola". "Super ask him to stay for sometime, I will be there in an hour" saying that her friend disconnected the call. "Hello hello...." sivu tried to talk further but of no use. "Thanks" she gave the phone to him and hesitantly cleared her throat and asked "How long will you be here". Vikram let out a slight smile and asked "Evlo neram irukanum"."Ava vara 1 hr aaguma" saying Sivu looked down, not able to ask someone she have just met to wait for her in the rain. Vikram took his phone and called Pugazh "Machan..." ."Poruda epa kelambiten" said Pugazh. "Hey wait pannu, na sollela va" said Vikram. "En marupadiyum velaya" asked an irritated pugazh. "Illa machan inga oru ponnu thaniya nikkuranga adan" said Vikram. "Ponnu ku dan da pavam paakuringa, thoongunavana nightshift ponumenu kuda yosikama adichu elupitu seri seri vai, call pannu varen" said Pugazh and cut the call. Vikram laughed at his comment and said "Irupen 1 hr" . Hearing all this Sivu said "Sorry ennaladana". "Ada avan apdi dan, office poiyum thoonga dan seivan" said Vikram.

They both sat silently for sometime and Sivu noticed Vikram constantly rubbing his tummy and could see something is bothering him, "Are you hungry" asked Sivu, Vikram was first shocked, as she asked the exact thing running in his mind,but also felt little embarrased. However he told "Yeah, did not have lunch too". She immediately took a packet of chips and gave it to him. He hesitated at first but took it as he was really hungry. He asked her to have some too. She nodded and took out another packet and started eating it. He was curious and tried to see how much left, seeing him trying to peek into her bag, she opened herself and showed it to him, it had chocolate bars, still some more packet of chips, cakes. "Ennanga mini food court eh irukku, I thought girls carry make up things" said Vikram teasingly. Sivu started laughing to that comment and replied "Not all girls"

After eating whatever she gave him, he eyed on her water bottle and smiled sheepishly. She shook her head and handed him the bottle, he gulped down the water, only to realize how much thirsty he was, he was about to finish it and she stopped him half way "Some for me too". "Sorry" he handed her the water bottle and she finished off the remaining. "Oh god its only 9:20" he said loudly and let out a sigh, she felt bad and said "Will you watch movies, my phone has no signal but few downloaded ones are there". He nodded and came a little close to her and got her phone. He went through the list "Alaipayuthe","Mowna Ragam", "Oh my kadavule" he shook his head and tried hard to control his laughter. She felt little offended as her taste is being mocked and said "Hello all are good movies". "I did not say they are bad, they are just very fictional" he said. "You don't believe in love then?" asked a surprised Sivu. "Yeah, believed during college days, even had a girlfriend and a 3 years long relationship, she left me last year when I lost my job, since then I can only think of love as something money can buy" said Vikram. "Not all girls carry make up likewise not all girls are after money" said Sivu. Vikram smiled and said "Chill lets watch alaipayuthe then" he plugged in the wired headset and gave her one ear bud, and raised his eyebrows questioning whether she wants to join, she took that readily and came further closer to him and started to watch the movie. He paused the movie and asked "Are you in love then". "No, but I am waiting for my love story, studied in girls school, then a strict college here in Chennai and now my team is full of girls, I had a crush in my bay and he too got married yesterday, sad life" she said and let out a huge sigh. He can't stop admiring her cute antics and her non-filtered story, somehow he felt comfortable around her, since the moment he saw. He shook his head and started to laugh. She gave an angry glare, but it made him to laugh more. She pinched him hard and said "Hello...". "Ouch..." he expressed his pain and placed his finger oh his mouth signaling he will not laugh. They continued the movie for sometime and Sivu felt tired and fell asleep on his shoulder. He did not want to disturb her and stayed there without any movement. It was quiet a while and he too slept. They both were woken up by the horn sound of her friend's car. Sivu realized she slept on his shoulder, she immediately moved away, took all her belongings and said "Sorry and thanks, before leaving trust love and marriage, you will get your girl soon". "I do trust marriage, in fact my parents are looking for a bride now" he said and smiled. Sivu felt little sad on hearing that, she was not able to tell why. "All the best" she told and got in the car. "Ipdiye iru maaradha" he said and winked. "Aluthuteva" she said and the car left. Only then he realized he just recited the hero's words from the movie. He face palmed himself for reciting dramatic words, which he himself laughed at before watching the movie.

She reached her friend's place and finally her signal was back and she could see several missed calls and messages from her parents. She opened the message "I know you want to do love marriage, but this alliance looks too good, just see his pic and let us know your decision" read the message. She just opened the image with no interest and was shocked to find it to be vikram's. She felt butterflies in her stomach, she was happy but not sure why, her face turned tomato red with all the blushing. She typed and sent "OK....."
