Ever since your first year of high school, you've been a member of your school's theater club that held numerous productions each year.
Theater has always been something you found happiness in. There was just so much to just adore in theater; from the impressive acting to the beautiful, detailed sets— you loved it all.
Your school's theater club surely wasn't as formal as professional theater; it was simply a school club, after all. But it had the same feel nevertheless.
When you first joined, you were timid and often stayed in the sidelines, admiring your fellow members from afar, especially the more boisterous seniors who brought life to the club with all their antics.
But after a few months of being in the club, you broke out of your shell and were more confident, participating more actively in productions, workshops, meetings, and the like.
You also found the job that fit you most, which was stage management. Everyone in the club knew you for your skills in the job; being the right hand of the director was no easy task, but you made it seem so simple.
And during your first year at the club, you also made two friends: Uzui Tengen and Kanroji Mitsuri. The three of you hung out all the time and would sit beside each other during club meetings. It was no doubt that you three were very close.
At first, you and Mitsuri were both first years, while Tengen was in his second. Now, you and Mitsuri were in your third year, and Tengen was in his fourth.
Surely, both Mitsuri and Tengen were extremely loud, jolly individuals in their own rights. But the two of them didn't compare to a certain renowned club member—
Rengoku Kyojuro.
He was another member of the club; he's been in it since middle school and was now in his third year just like you, and he was incredibly famous in Kimetsu Academy for his spectacular acting and refined singing.
Kyojuro was also in the academy's choir, having been in it since elementary. He was loved by all the other members, most especially his fellow members in the tenor section.
But it wasn't just his talent, everyone absolutely adored his friendly, boisterous personality and his signature smile that was brighter than the sun. And to top it all off, he was a top student, ranking first in his batch every semester.
He was the epitome of perfection; you couldn't pinpoint a single flaw no matter how hard you tried.
Both girls and guys were totally whipped for him. You however, despite seeing him up close during rehearsals, workshops, or meetings, had...
...A different opinion.

"What do you mean he looks like a rubber chicken?!"
Mitsuri looked right at you with a pair of sad puppy eyes and the biggest pout. She was absolutely baffled at what you thought of Kyojuro.
"Don't be like that, Mitsuri! You know he does!" You teased.
"Now that you say it Y/N, he sort of does," Tengen said as he stuffed a piece of tempura in his mouth with his bejeweled chopsticks. "He's real loud like one, too."
