Chapter 7

Summer's POV
It's been a week since what happened to me. I was so scared that my mom decided to come home from her business trip to stay with me. Freddy was also staying with too because he's so worried about me.

Right now, I'm in my bathroom, feeling so scared and anxious. Missy tried to kill me and I just wanted her gone...

??- You OK babe?
S- I'm fine, Freddy. I'm just scared.
F- (Sits next to Summer) I know but you're not going to let that stop you, right?
S- I don't know. I didn't want to tell you this but... Missy was the one who tried to kill me.
F- (Freaking) What?! But you said you didn't see anything or anyone, why didn't you say it was Missy?
S- (Scared and crying) After she said Vengeance will be mine, she said not to say anything.
F- Summer... I'm sorry.

Freddy hugs me and I just buried my head in his chest. I don't want this to end. I just kept crying as Freddy plays with my hair to calm me down. I know that Freddy cares and wants to keep me safe but there are times that I have to do things on my own. After I finish crying, Freddy let's go and kissed my head.

F- Can I show you something?
S- Sure.

He picks me up and we headed out the door. As we're driving in Freddy's car, I was looking out the window but I could tell that Freddy was worried. He cuffs my cheek and I smiled. I feel... safe knowing that Freddy is with me. I mean, he did save me from dying. We came somewhere and before I got out of the car...

F- Summer, close your eyes.
S- Why?
F- Just do it.
S- (Confused) OK?

I closed my eyes and Freddy helps me out of the car. We started to walk and we stopped after 20 seconds.

F- OK, ready? Open.

I open my eyes and saw a house that was still under construction. Did Freddy...

S- Wha?... Is this...
F- Yep, I got help from our parents.
S- I can't believe it, you bought us a house.
F- Yeah, and we're moving in after the wedding. Now come on, let me show you around.

He grabbed my hand and we went inside. It was mostly well wood and stuff but it looks cool. Freddy showed me where the kitchen is, the living room, and our bedroom. It is a two-storage house with four bedrooms, an office, a pool, and a music room.
We left the house and went to the park.

Freddy's POV
I took Summer to the house that we're going to live in after we get married and now we're going for a walk in the park. I had a little surprise for her. But when I came there...

F- What!?
S- What this the mess?
F- It was supposed to be a picnic. I wanted to make a special date for you to make you happy.
S- That's sweet of you. (Noticed a piece of paper) Wait... what's this?

Summer finds a piece of paper and it said something...

When my dad is out of jail, we'll destroy you, Summer Hathaway.

Missy...

Revenge, Revenge, Revenge...

She reads and we both got worried.

We took it to the police and they insisted that they protect us at our wedding. We agreed to that. We headed home and told everyone.

T- That's a little overprotective guys.
SM- But it means, they'll be safe.
FM- And that was safe.
S- At least it's not worse than... dad.

Summer's POV
After I said that, my mom looked at me sad...

F- Your dad, is something wrong with him?
SM- You know how we moved to Austin from New York right?
Z- Yeah, you said that you got a new job.
L- And that Summer's dad passed away.
F- That's no real story, is it?
S- No ummmm.... Mom.
SM- (Signed) Back in New York, when we and Summer's father got married and I gave birth to Summer everything was perfect. But then, when Summer turned 5 he started to have a drinking problem. He would hit both of us for no reason so when he was passed out, I send the divorce papers and we left and that's how we ended up here.
T- Woah, I can't believe you went through so much and I thought high school was the worst.
S- Oh high school was way worse. Sorry babe.
F- It's Ok.

Freddy's POV
It was not OK. I can't believe she went through so much as a child and I hurt her so much in high school. Why was awful to her in the first place?

Skip time till the middle of the night...

I was sleeping at Summer's house, I was staying there until the wedding because after what happened to her, I just want her safe. I flipped over and tried to cuddle Summer but all I got was the mattress and heard something. I looked and saw Summer who's crying.

F- Summer?
S- Freddy? Go back to sleep, I'm fine.

I know she's lied, she's crying and I'm worried. I sat next to her and hugged her. She cries on my shoulder and I know she doesn't want to let go.

S- Freddy... Ummmm... can you admit that I'm a nobody?
F- Why would you think that?
S- (Signed) It's just... ever since my and mom left my dad, my mom went on a lot of business trips and I'm always alone. You have guys have families that are there for you and my mom is always gone. Went I met Tomika, I got jealous of her because she is so much better then, she plays music, she's sings and is so pretty than me. Nobody loves me and I bet you're still cheating on me because I'm nothing, just admit it.

She starts to cry again and I hugged her tight. I know I cheated on her but that was the worst mistake I made, I need to calm her down.
