As Lucas Wilson, a troubled youth with a horrible past, moves to a new city, he strives to make a fresh start. However, the past keeps haunting him. Being haunted every night, every second, he loses sleep and his peace of mind. The only way to overcome this is to forget the past. He leaves his past behind and moves to Los Angeles. Despite finding a job and a place to live, he keeps his distance from others and avoids getting close to them because of his haunting past. Under the mat, he finds a drawing that shows a man brutally murdered with a time, a name, an address, and a signature. In a dream, he is in a room killing a man in the night and drawing a signature with a knife. He tries to stop it, but he's not able to. When he awakens, he goes to the drawing and examines the date, location, and time referenced in the drawing, all of which relate to that person's death, and the signature appears in his chest. The police start to investigate the murder and the sign. The sign says "MXEMUS" and the forensic says it is drawn by a rusted knife and the name "MAXIMUS." This case comes all over the news and Lucas sees it and sits down with a shock after seeing the name Maximus.
