I ran out of the church and did not look back. I heard people call out my name but i ignored them. I finally got really tired and realized I had run in some woods. They weren't that thick but they were really muddy. My dress was full of mud and it was wet...

I leaned on a tree and started crying. I had been doing that alot. I heard footsteps and got scared. It was getting pretty dark and I was really far away from home. I started walking back to the church when it walked in front of me. A couple feet away was a wild coyote... It slowly walked towards me . I started running but I just fell in the thick mud.

I started screaming I tried getting up but my feet shoes were stuck in the mud. These were the type of shoes that had a sort of mini latch. Kinda like a belt... I dug my hand in the mud trying to undo the latch but i could not see my feet at all and my eyes were all watery...

The coyote jumped I heard a little PAM.

The coyote quickly ran away with a little limp.

A boy stood beside me with a bee bee gun in his hands.

He put his gun down and helped me take my shoes off.

He grabbed my shoes and started taking his off. I did not know why he was doing that but i just stood there in silence while my eyes shed tears.

"Here take these." He said handing me his boots.

Nobody had ever done something so nice for me before. I grabbed the boots and slipped them on my feet.

"Th- thanks." I said

He nodded his head.

"We better go to my house..." He said as he started walking. His socks got muddier and muddier the more we walked...

It wasn't awkward, I actually felt comfortable with this boy.

"Nice arm art... It's like my mommy's. she has a tattoo of the same flower on her arm."

I loved how he just started talking like everything was normal.

He did not question why I was in a dress in the woods stuck in mud.

"Cool, my aunt-auntie drew it..." I said

"Cool! We are here." He said

In front of me stood a huge wooden fence. I had no idea how i could climb it. He walked backwards a little and started running and jumped really high onto the fence, he then quickly reached the top and lifted himself up. How was I going to do that i thought.

"You try." He said from the top of the fence. "Step back further you will get higher... I hope your a fast runner!"

I took some steps back and started running just like he said. My foot made contact with the fence and then I jumped but I ended up falling on my but.

"Your supposed to jump and then touch the fence with your foot..." He said "Try again."

I tried again and I got pretty high up the fence. When I started falling I got a "mini heart attack" (as my aunt would say) because I was pretty high. Then the boy quickly reached out and caught me and pulled me up with him, he was pretty strong for a little kid!

He looked at me his blue eyes shinning because of the lights in his large backyard. Then he looked at the ground and held my hand.

"We are going to have to jump. We will do it together maybe it will be better." He said. He pointed at his hand. "Never let go."

And suddenly we jumped.

It felt like it happened slowly both our heads hit each others in mid air. It hurt,badly.... We landed on our buts and my eyes starting tearing up. I refused to cry in front of this complete stranger.

We lied on the ground for about ten minutes just looking at the night sky. It was beautiful, it had clouds in it.

After 10 minutes an asian woman came outside.

"Benjamin! Ben?! You out here!" She screamed.

He looked at me and put his finger on his mouth, a sign for me not to say a word. He then crawled closer to the patio were the women was standing.

"I'm here." Said Benjamin

"Thank goodness! I thought you climbed the fence again! Let's go inside it's getting pretty cold don't you think?" She put her hand behind his back slightly pushing him inside.

"Wait! Missy I umm, umm, I have ummm a friend..." He said looking at me from the corner of his eye.

"What are you talking about Benjamin?" She said

"Is mommy home?" Ben said.

"She is in her office, she will not be disturbed." Said the woman who I am guessing is named Missy.

"But this is an emergency!" He yelled

"Benjamin, you never tell me anything...." She said kneeling down to his level. "I"m here for you Ben, you don't always have to tell your mom everything, so Ben tell me whats up?"

"I heard, a, a,a, ummm someone in the woods... She was, ummm ummm. I want to talk to mommy!" He said quickly running away inside his massive house.

About ten minutes later he came out with a young woman about 20-25 years old. She was really pretty. She was holding his hand and they started slowly walking towards me.

'Hello, my name is Beatrice.... I am Benjamin's mother... Ben told me what happened... Are you okay honey?" She said

I nodded my head, even thought I had a couple cuts, bruises and deep splinters from the fence.

She put her arms around me. It felt weird, but it was comforting... Having a mom hug you... I missed my mother.

She brought me inside and I dialled up my fathers phone number. He didn't awnser...

"What about your mom honey?" She said.

I started crying. If my mom came over to pick me up my dad would be so disappointed in me, maybe even mad...

I knew her number.

That was the day I let go of my mom. I accepted that she was gone. She killed my sister. Its her fault.

Beatrice opened her mouth to say something but it never came out.

"Missy, bring her to Benjamin's room please. I think she needs to rest..."
