1- the road trip- Bye: entropic society

I was running late due to traffic and I missed my flight to a business meeting, my options where that I could stay in the airport for another 12 hours to catch another flight or i could drive there.

I put the destination into my phone, google told me it would take about 8 hours to get there, being the adventurous type I figured that a road trip across a couple of states I've never been too would be alot of fun!

So I decided, Road trip it was,
I stopped at the nearest gass station, topped off my car with gass, loaded up energy drinks and snacks for the road, and found a cool audio tape to listen too.

I was set for a fun roadtrip.

I took off on my road trip and didnt think twice, and the audio book was Amazing, and the energy drinks, they did there job.

I had to stop twice to fill up on gass, both gass stations I stoped at were at well populated areas, not only did I fill up on gass but I also made sure to get more energy drinks, but i also found another audio book to listen too.

The audio book was some kind of horror story, it was the only option they had, i personally profure mystery or even true crime, but I figured that horror was close enough.

I guess it beats listening to local radio stations.

I started off the last nick of my trip, and it was starting to get dark.

It turns out the audio book was really good, 2 hours have past and I had hardly noticed, but what I did notice was the light on my dashboard, low fuel, great.

I typed into google the nearest gass station, which was unfortunately 40 miles away, typically when you see the low fuel light turn on, you have about 20 miles untill your completely empty.

As I kept driving, and by the grace of god, I found a sighn that said "fuel station 16 miles."

The fuel station must have been apart of a small town, a town so small that it didnt appear on google, which I thought was really odd.

I took the exit that this fuel station was on and it took me down this really dark road.

The road had little to no lighting, it looked like i had been driving to the middle of nowhere.

I was eventually able to see some lights, and I pulled into this small town.

The small town had about 5-6 small houses or buildings, all of which with there lights still on.

I found the gass station and I pulled in, the gass price's were unusually low, which made me think that this gass station wasnt updated.

I got up and tried to fuel up my car, but nothing, I then decided to walk inside the gass station, to try to find an attendant of some kind, but once inside the gass station, I notice that it was deserted.

All that remains inside other than some empty racks was a desk with a small register on it.

I went back outside and went over nextdoor which apeard to look like a small motel.

"Surely there had to be people there"

I walked into the small desk aria, and know one was there.
