When Shinichi woke up in the morning the place where Kaito usually lay was empty. He was too sleepy to pay attention. After morning routine and a few lofts of fresh coffee, it dawned on him that he had not yet seen Kaito.

Shinichi looked at the blue ribbon box. "Thanks to Ran. Merry Christmas." "Shinichi to you, too." And with that wish, Shinichi set out again.

Shinichi decided to go to the museum where the said sapphire had been displayed a little earlier. The sapphire was teardrop-shaped, and the colour reminded him of Kaito's eyes. Even though he had come two hours earlier, there were already plenty of people here. Mostly Kid's fans and Kid's taskforce with Inspector Nakamori.

"Kudo, what are you doing here?" Inspector asked, less than enthusiastically. Shinichi just took the invitation out of his pocket and handed it to the inspector.
