While at Jarahn's place. Jarahn seen that Ray was acting weird while he was getting help from him. Ray is wondering why Mr. Light would even bother making a school like MH High if the disconnection between Monsters and Humans was that bad. It bothered him for a reason that even he is oblivious to.
"I think we've done enough work. Let's take a break." Jarahn said. "While we're taking this break, let me show you something.
Jarahn lead Ray into his basement, where a boxing arena is located.
"Even though this is coming from my personal experience, I think having a little sparring match can help with taking breaks from things that are troubling you and can be used for gaining experience. Plus, I want to show you something cool about myself." Jarahn said.
Both Jarahn and Ray stepped into the ring.
"Come at me!" Jarahn yelled.
Worried for him, Ray took it easy on him, but found out the hard way that what he did was a mistake. Jarahn flipped him on his back before Ray could even comprehend what happened to him. Ray got back, this time more serious, and tried to tackle him, but got flipped around again. Jarahn did various moves to Ray. Ray reacted to multiple bullets, and a water blast even faster than that, so it wasn't because Jarahn was too fast to react to. So, the difference in skill was too much. So much, that Ray couldn't keep up.
After some time, Ray gave up, finding himself too tired to go on.
"Since we're friends, I don't want you to be on the bad side of the similar encounter we had with that one monster girl" Jarahn said. Jarahn is a young prodigy when it comes to martial arts. He knows many martial arts in which he mastered almost all of them but knows that if a monster actually wanted him dead, he would be dead. Hence why he's so fearful of people who have Monsterization and Monsters.
"You still looked troubled, so let's keep on going, I can also give help you with training as well."
For the rest of the day, Jarahn helped Ray further his skills until 6PM, when Ray flew to his house. Ray took a shower and went to the kitchen afterwards. With his new house he's able to freely change what he eats and wants to start eating the things Jarahn recommended him in order to strengthen his body so it can add on to the workouts he'll be doing from now on. After eating his recommended food and doing his recommended workouts, he went to go lie down when out of nowhere, he heard screaming. Ray rushed quickly to his window to see what the screaming was about, only to see. Someone with an inhuman figure attacking a civilian to then take his belongings.
"Ten No Kyoku: Extend!" Ray said, extending the pole to the mysterious person's way with his quick thinking.
The mysterious person dodged it, which surprised Ray.
"Go! Ten No Kumo". Ray commanded.
Ten No Kumo charged at the mysterious person's direction at neck break speed, but it was too late. Shadows started to appear around the mysterious person. Shortly after, the darkness swallowed the person, leaving no trace of him after the shadows disappeared. Ray was stunned with confusion, but only for a few seconds, rushing to the person's aid right after snapping out of it. After some time, the cops were involved. The civilian was rushed to safety in cop cars. Some cops stuck around to ask Ray of everything he knew about the situation. Ray stayed up for a little while but didn't find anything suspicious, and as such, he headed to sleep.
Ray woke up in cold sweats as always due to his "dreams" but continued with his usual routine before flying to school. Upon arrival he gets greeted by Jarahn. Jarahn and Ray have a small chat with each other before walking in the facility. It wasn't just Ray who thought that something felt off, but Jarahn felt the same way as well. People, mostly humans, were gossiping about something. The gossip got louder and louder until the point that some of the information was slipping out due to how loud it was getting.
"It's not surprising" One student said. "They're always doing something." "Those damn MONSTERS."
"They're probably talking about last night's incident." Jarahn said.
"Last night?" Ray asked.
"Somebody got mugged again last night by somebody with an inhuman figure. Good thing someone jumped in mid mugging."
Ray caught on quick, but something Jarahn said caught Ray's attention as well. "Again?"
"Yeah. For the past few months this has been somewhat of a recent occurrence." Jarahn said. "Though you told me that you moved not too long ago, so this is probably something new to you."
"....ARG! ". One monster said, frustrated with the human's gossiping about his people. "YOU HUMANS ARE ALWAYS BOTHERING US!"
"Bothering us? You do realize the person who got mugged was human, and the mugger was a monster right?" One human retaliated back with.
"The person wasn't even identified." The monster said.
"Why do you think his figure was described as inhuman dumbass?" The human snapped back with.
With that, a huge commotion between humans and monsters happened. A huge brawl between monsters and humans can leave a serious stain on the school's reputation and could cause very serious injuries to the students.
"We GOTTA get out of here Ray...". Jarahn said.
"THAT'S ENOUGH" A gust of wind came right after the command that was commanded by a certain someone. The gust of wind was so strong that it separated everyone apart, thus stopping every potential fight in one go.
"Letting you guys' fight would defeat the purpose of why this school was made." Mr. Light said. "Besides, what's the point of being in this school in the first place if you're not going to accept the change of liking each other in your life? Letting actions of a single person to determine how you treat an entire species is idiotic, you're in high school, so stop acting like immature brats. We're going to be having an early dismissal because of this incident, so get your things and get ready to be dismissed. Take the time to calm your heads and come back as more mature students."
With that, everyone starts to walk to their locker getting ready to leave and left once the bell rung.
"Great... It worked.. I hope their happy". Light said frustratedly. "We have to prepare ourselves."
"Mr. Light whipped out his phone and started to call somebody. After some time, the person, who was Ms. Marry, picked up.
"Hello?" Ms. Marry answered.
"I think it's an appropriate time to bring out the papers and new classes." Mr. Light Answered back.
