Bad Boy

Chapter 1

Hi I'm Kennedy and I'm just a normal teenage girl school, social media, and food. I'm 15 I'm in the 10th and have 2 siblings Tate and Olivia. Tate is 17 and is the normal overprotective brother. Olivia is 8 and is a sassy little sister which is normal for an 8 year old.

My alarm goes off. I groan and roll out of bed. I walk in the bathroom and put my hair in a bun. I wash my face brush my teeth and do my light makeup. I leave my hair in its natural waves and walk to my closet and pick out an outfit.

"Come on Kennedy I'm going to be late for work," Tate yells from downstairs.

"Okay chill," I say slipping on my converse and running downstairs. I grab my bag at the door and jump in the car.

We get to school and I go and sit by Leah my friend.

"Hey," I say.

"Hey and I like your shirt," Leah says.

"Thanks," I say as the bell rings.

"Bye see you later," I say walking away from Leah since we have first hour in different classes. I sit in my seat. I see a boy looking over at me from the other side of the room.

I look over at him to see that it's Hayes Grier. We've been going to the same school forever but we've never really talked of knew each other. He has a bad reputation but all the girls drool over him but from what I'm hearing he's single. I turn away and look down at my textbook and start on my work.

{6th Hour}
I'm at my locker putting up and grabbing my books. Someone leans on the lockers beside me. I turn to Hayes Grier.

"Hi," he says.

"Do you need something," I ask and shut my locker.

"Your number," he says.

"Ha I have to get to class," I say and turn from him and walk to my class. I can feel him starring on the back of my neck. I walk into my class and sit down. Hayes walks in and flashes me a look.

"Alright class we're doing a group project for your final, so that means I do the groups," Mr. Jeff says.

"Okay so groups Nathan and Mae, Kyle and Clara, Colby and Trent, Carl and Violet, Mark and Emma, Shelby, and Kennedy and Hayes.

My eyes go wide at the fact that I'm going to have to work with this guy.

"I'm not doing this as a punishment Kennedy but your one of my brightest students and I want Hayes to pass and get out of my class," Mr. Jeff says.

Hayes chuckles "I understand," I say and look over at Hayes who's starring at the teacher. We get done with our lesson and the bell rings.

"ALRIGHT CLASS THIS HAS TO BE FINISHED WHEN YOU GET BACK FROM EASTER BREAK SO GET YOUR PARTNERS NUMBER TO MEET UP," Mr. Jeff says over the class leaving.

I walk outside and Hayes walks in front of me.

"Now you have to give me your number," he says smirking.

I roll my eyes "fine here," I say and pull a pen out my bag and write my number on his hand.

"I'll text you later babe,"he says. I roll my eyes and see my brothers truck and walk over to it.

"Hi," I say getting in the passenger seat.

"How was school," he asks speeding off.

"Good I'm just glad to be out for spring break."

"Yea so you what are you going to do."

"Not much probably but I have to do a project for my final over the break."

"With who," he asks.

"Hayes Grier," I say.

"Ooh is that your boyfriend," Olivia mocks in the backseat.

"No," I say.

"Are you sure," Tate says and looks at me and then back on the road.

"Yes I'm sure," I say and hit his shoulder. He grins and we pull into our driveway. I walk inside and my phone vibrates. I open the text message.

{Phone Convo}
Person- Hey

Me- Who is this?

Person- Guess babe

Me- Hayes don't call me that.

Hayes-cNever and when do we start on the project?

Me- Come over tomorrow around 1

Hayes- Okay see then.

I lock my phone and jump in the shower. I get out and dry my hair. I lay down and scroll through twitter and fall asleep.

I wake up around 12 and go get some breakfast. I walk downstairs and grab a pop tart. I walk upstairs and throw on a pair of jeans and an black shirt with white letters that say "Stay Back" on it.

I hear someone knock on the door. I run down to see my mom leaving for work. Shes a nurse so she has late shifts this week and my dad's on a business trip for 6 weeks.

I run downstairs to the door. I open it to Hayes standing there in some khakis and a red obey shirt on in a black snapback and black vans.

"Hey," I say as I let him in.

"Mom me and a friend are doing a project," I say and walk upstairs.

"Okay and I'm going upstate because they want me to work at a hospital up there because there low on workers and no parties no one over unless I say listen to your brother and nice to meet you," she says and leaves.

"Your mom seems nice," Hayes says.

"Yea sure."

"Okay so what are we doing for the project," I ask. Hayes shrugs.

"Of course how about we do the timeline of the civil and the things that happened during it," I say.

"Sounds good," he says.

"Well I'm going to research some so you should write some of it down," I say grabbing my laptop and pulling up google.
