Cherry Blossoms

Chapter 1

POV: Lilyet 

It was getting dark outside so I decided to start making dinner for my family.  My mother worked very late and I had a twin and two younger brothers.  My twin was older than me but she liked to help in the forges to build stuff, her name Zhara.  The oldest of my little brothers was Zane, he was very stubborn and liked to help tame the bulls out on the pasture's.  My youngest brother was Nicholas, but we all just called him Nick, he was shy like me and liked to read, also like me.  Then was me, I liked to read and was very shy.  Our mother was a very busy person trying to provide for all of the family by herself when our father had died.  One day their mother had called them all into the kitchen and said in a grave voice, "I am sorry children, but you will all have to give up your activities to help with the family."  I turned to see my siblings disappointed faces and was horrified.  "Mother, may I please talk to you?" I asked.  "Of course." Mother said.  "Mother, please let them keep doing all of their activities, they will be blank without them!" I pleaded, 'I will work harder than ever and won't do any activities and will work to help with money, please Mother!"  " Okay, but are you sure, I don't want to push you to work to hard?"  Mother asked.  " Yes Mother, I will be fine, just don't tell them about our conversation, okay" I told her.  We went back to the kitchen and I sat back down in my chair.  Zhara leaned toward her and whispered in her ear, " What did you guys talk about?"  "Nothing." I said.  Just then, Mother interrupted us.  " You may all stay in your activities."  There was cheering from all of my siblings and Mother and I even shared a smile.  I was so happy for my siblings and things went back to the way it always was for them, she just had to get used to a new routine; wake up at three o'clock to get ready and then start breakfast (that was not in the agreement) get everybody up, except Mother, then give everybody their lunch for school, go to school with them, after school got to work at Sentimental Sewing to sew orders, come home to make dinner and do homework in the time I had to wait for everyone to come home, except Mother, then after dinner more homework then get everyone ready for bed, then get everybody into bed and make sure their asleep, then go to bed myself and do it all the next day.  One day when everyone got up for breakfast Zhara saw the nice breakfast I had made them and stared at me really hard, "it's you, isn't it, your the one who's been making breakfast and lunch and dinner for us."  Zhara said.  ' Why do you do it?" she asked me.  Then her eyes widened, " That's what you were talking to Mother about that day, you do all this for us so that we can still do our activities!" She almost screamed at me.  "What else do you do, Lilyet?" Zhara asked me.  I looked at the floor and quietly said, " I work at the Sentimental Sewing place for half the time you are at your activities"  "I am going to quit my activity." Zhara said.  " No, your not." I said staring at her with a challenging look in my eyes.  " But I want to help you." she said.  " I do this so that you don't have to quit your activities, what good would it be if you quit them anyway." I told her.  " Okay, I won't quit but I still appreciate what you do for us even though you are like, thirteen." Zhara said.  " Okay, thank then." I told her.  Then, we left for school.  

4 hours later

Of course Zane would go and tell everybody about my agreement with Mother.  Later that day, Crystal, a girl in my class came up to me, " So, are you a maid or a cleaner or something?" she asked me.  " No, I am just taking care of my family." I said, " Which is more than I can say for you." I whispered under my breath.  Crystal just rolled her eyes, " Whatever you want to call it maid girl, but look at you, I mean no wonder your a maid, your hair is so ugly, red and curly, uh" "Actually, Crystal, I like my hair, and, if you were going to make a comment on my eyes to, I like those to." " Now, why don't you go sit in the back corner, Crystal, and I'll sit over here, bye."  Before I could even sit down someone walked over to me, it was Rie.  " Hi Lilyet", he said,  " How was Crystal over there." he asked me jokingly.  Rie had been my best friend for my whole life, he was the only one I had told about the agreement with my Mother before Zane told everyone in school.  " She's good... I think." I joked.  " See you after school, walk together?" Rie asked me.  He would walk with me to work everyday after school since I had gotten a job.  Yeah, after school." I told him.  He smiled at me and walked away.  

After School

I met Rie outside the building after school to walk to work.  "Hi" he greeted me.  I always welcomed his smile, it calmed me down when I was panicking.  This time, it wasn't helping.  He seemed to notice that I was about to have a panic attack.  Rie stepped in front of me to stop me from walking more but I didn't notice so I just crashed into his chest because he was like a foot taller than me.  " He leaned down and said, " Are you okay?" I looked up to stare at his face, I wasn't okay  but I would be for his sake, he was my best friend.  "Yeah, I'm fine." I said and then suddenly there was screaming everywhere and a lady who passed us told there were monsters invading our world, Niia.  (Sorry should have told you that sooner.)  I stared at Rie in fear, he hugged and told me it would be okay and then my eyes widened, my family, I screamed.
