Hi there, thanks for reading my story. I really enjoyed writing it, and I hope you enjoy reading it. One person told me this story has a Hunger Games feel to it.
So, it all began when I asked myself, what if. What if all the food we ate came from a factory because crops no longer grew from the earth. I had to find the right setting and the dystopian world seemed to be the best fit. A society where there is great injustice and suffering.
But what if we had a female lead who didn't give a crap about the law or the circumstances and did what she had to do to save her brother from imminent death because he was allergic to the food created in the factory.
I loved that.
Maize is tough, but you will witness how she learns to balance toughness and vulnerability as the story moves along. You will see her fall in love.
I love listening to music. Who doesn't? I listen to music mainly from the '80s 90's early 2000's, alternative rock. You will see songs from my playlist added at the top of chapters in this book. I've added hear some songs from my playlist.
