LEMON TEA
CHAPTER 07.

▃▃▃▃▃▃▃

WAS THERE GOING TO be a flood soon? From how heavy it was raining outside, the idea wouldn't be that ridiculous. (M/n) Ciara Lirtwar secretly wished it would flood. It would be his excuse not to go to the capital, saying that the storm was too strong for travel.

But another problem that came with the rain wasn't the sound of raindrops falling on the windows, nor the low and humid temperatures. (They were quite nice, actually.) It was just that (M/n) and Choi Han meet in the hallways a few times while wandering around. It was inevitable, since they were trapped in the same house as fellow guests.

Well, its not right to say guest, since (M/n) married into the family first.

(M/n) was already used to sneering at Cale Henituse when they pass eachother briefly. But he didn't know how to handle that red bastard's 'lover'. He wished that Choi Han would stop staring like something was off about him.

Maybe it was the sleeves, the gloves, the number of clothes he layered on himself to hide the muscles. Or maybe he's checking out his position as the second spouse in the family.

The worst possibility would be he "caught on" already.

So, he scheduled a small meeting with Cale to sort things out about Choi Han.

"Good morning."

(M/n) was dressed as Bianca today, and it was jarring how beautiful he looked as a girl. Although, the thought of him purposely trying to make himself look shorter with the dress—from 190cm to less than 170cm—was funny to me.

His voice was feathery and light. However, there was hints of venom laced all around the sweet sounding voice. His green eyes were curved crescents, and his natural tilt was instilling kindness, smiling towards Cale. But when others weren't looking, he'd show a sour expression.

He knew very well that Cale Henituse did not like sour things.

So (M/n) often messed with his food, another reason why the original Cale would always think the chef's cooking was shit. It was already the day before they had to leave for the capital, and (M/n) decided to play a little revenge by doing a little prank.

But that morning, Cale obediently drank the slightly sour lemon tea as if it were delicious. Cale smiled, sharing equal animosity towards his 'wife'. "You don't need to wear that in front of me. It's creepy."

"I'd prefer it if I didn't." (M/n) forced a high-pitched voice, placing both gloved hands on his lap like a calm maiden. "But we are in a good relationship, aren't we?" he spoke sarcastically, leaning back on his chair.

"Wearing that must be difficult. It's hot and suffocating."

"Yes, I can't wait to rip it off and burn it." (M/n) crossed his arms. "How about you? Isn't your drink sour?"

"It's a perfect balance of sour and sweet. It's refreshing to wake up to." Cale said, taking another sip. "Ron made this, right?"

"Who knows."

Cale and (M/n) gave eachother polite smiles. They were fake, but bystanders can see them on good terms with eachother. (M/n) glared at Cale, disappointed that maybe Cale already knew. He endured the tightness of the dress just to witness Cale's reaction.

"...It's delicious."

Cale genuinely thought the tea tasted good. He was going to have another cup since he didn't know (M/n) made it.
