dilettante

She carried my heart like Jesus carried the cross
With every sin, I still tried to be holy
But who we were, was a result of coincidence
She destroyed my notion of circular time
And like a teardrop to the sea
No one really cared, so insignificant

One day I woke up to find
She took off my ring and gave it to someone else
A reefer headed woman with seven heads
If the world could remember her
Is that she's a narcissistic dilettante
The elephant in the room, a living obscenity
So just live and let die
Don't be afraid of the beasts of the dark
Because you'll just come to find
Mommas cry, kids die
They're no different than all of us
