Childe is happily humming as he's skipping to Liyue's Wangsheng Funeral Parlor. Everyone in the streets seem very happy because of flowers falling down everywhere. Childe finally arrives at the parlor and knocks three times.

*knock, knock, knock*

Hu Tao swings open the door at lightning speed.

"Heya Hu Tao"

"Hey Childe you've come to look for Zhongli again right?"

"Of course why wouldn't I?" Childe says in a playful tone

"Ah, than you've at a bad time since Zhongli is busy dealing with multiple people" Hu Tao says with a pained expression

"Awh I wanted to go see the blossoms with him since it's this week"

"I was wondering what these strange flowers were but they were called blossoms"

"How long until Zhongli is free?"

"Sorry but he's taken for this entire week" Hu Tao says with a sorry expression

"The entire week? We won't be able to see the blossoms together than" Childe says disappointed

Hu Tao and Childe have a long talk until Hu Tao gets called in by person and shuts the door but not before exchanging goodbyes with Childe. Childe disappointed that he would not have a chance to see his lover looks up at the blossoms falling from the trees.

'What a waste'

He passes by Aether (with no Paimon which he finds strange since the two of them are usually together), a good friend of his who always seems to be running out of money by using it all on food, Childe gives him so pocket money (5,000,000) to use on some more food. As Childe keeps walking down the street he suddenly remembered a mission that Signora assigned to him, check out a new hilichurl camp that was established, he had been planning on ignoring the mission and pushing it onto Scaramouche while he had some fun with his lover but that lover was busy so to pass the time he decided to do the mission

Childe soon arrived at the camp but something felt off...like something or someone was watching him but he brushed it off as not seeing Zhongli in a while. Although the camp did look a bit strange as there were cryo and electro particles surrounding the camp.

Childe's thoughts were cut after being shot with an electrified arrow and he whipped his head to the direction of the arrow, and finds an electro abyss mage.

Childe scoffs "Isn't that a bit mean, hurting a man who's already down?"

Childe gets shot at again but by a cryo instead and dodges. He swiftly turns around to find half of a dozen cryo abyss mages slowly surrounding him.

Childe chuckles" Are you all finally gathering enough intelligence to ambush me, Tartaglia, or is your leader dumb for making you all go after me?"

"Well whatever it's been a while since I've fought you guys and I need to let off some steam so let's have fun shall we?"
