Spring Blossoms☘︎︎𝙕𝙝𝙤𝙣𝙜𝙘𝙝𝙞

𝙰 𝙽𝚎𝚠 𝙳𝚊𝚢

Childe opens his eyes to see himself on the bed, dressed in a robe with the bright sunlight shining on him, looking up to where the for the source of the sunlight his eyes slightly look to the left to see Zhongli wearing traditional clothing while drinking tea with spring blossoms outside, still blooming. Childe slowly starts sitting up, making the bed creak a bit and alerting Zhongli of his awaken.

"Seems you've finally waken after sleeping like child." Zhongli says in an amused tone.

Childe chuckles a bit "That's my name, no? Besides whose fault is it that I slept like a log?"

"You shouldn't have taunted me than."

"I didn't, you appeared out of nowhere and attacked me."

"Mm, well get dressed quickly, we are heading out soon."

"Where to?"

"You'll see"

Now motivated, Childe gets out of bed and runs to the bathroom to wash himself up. After he finds some traditional clothing left on the counter for him to wear although having no idea how to wear it he has no choice but to go to Zhongli for help. He quickly puts on a robe and searches for Zhongli only to find him in the same place as before.

Childe making puppy eyes says "Zhongliiiiiii help me pleaseeeeeee."

Zhongli looks at Childe seeing him holding some traditional clothing while wearing a robe.

"Hmm? Didn't you learn from Hu Tao last year?"

Childe's face turns slightly red "Yes, but I already forgot."

"Alright then I'll help you, but you do know you have to take off your robe right?"

"Yeah, yeah, don't worry I have underwear on." He says while he unties the the robe letting Zhongli see his body.

Zhongli sighs and takes the clothing from him to start dressing him up. After some adjustments he finally finishes with wrapping some clothing around Childe's waist and draping a jacket over his shoulders, Childe finally looks somewhat normal.

"Your missing the finishing piece!" Childe shouts.

Zhongli confused on what Childe is talking about looks up at his head and sees and certain accessory missing from the corner of his head and goes to get it from the bedside table. Putting it on Childe's head, actually finishing this time and they head down the stairs to go outside.

The city is still very spring blossomed themed as the blossoms have yet to wilt. Childe and Zhongli go around looking for anything eye catching. They spot a charm shop look around at the front of the shop to see any pins that look special.

"Hmm, this pin looks unique." Zhongli says while holding a fully-colored blossom shaped pin in his hands.

"Ah yes! That was made during this week to signify this week as the best out of all the years."

Childe peeks at Zhongli to figure out what all the commotion is about and sees the pin in his hand.

"Oooooh! How much is the pin?" Curiosity appears on Childe's face.

"10,000 mora customer! This was no easy pin to make!"

"I'll ta-"

"I think I will take it."

Childe looks to where the voice is coming from and sees it's coming from Zhongli.

"But I want it!"

The shopkeeper gets a gift box and some fabric to set the pin in the box. "Sorry kid, first come first serve."

The shopkeeper hands Zhongli the box while Zhongli hands him a bag of mora.

"Zhongli why did you buy it!? You don't even like stuff like this!"

Zhongli simply smirks and takes out the pin and puts it on Childe's shirt and throws away the box.

"You should've known that I bought it for you."

Childe face flushes and they start walking to a cake seller who immediately recognizes Childe and gives them a discount for a cherry blossom cake. After that  the sky slowly turns into a pinkish-orange while they walk to the top of a cliff. Finally they make it to the top of the cliff and unbox the cake and sit down. They start watching the sunset and as they eat the cake.

Zhongli makes a semi-disgusted face while saying "This cake tastes so sweet. How did you eat the entire thing?"

Childe simply smiles "I like sweet things."

Zhongli notices some cream on Childe's lips and reaches over the cake to wipe it off. Childe's ears turn slightly red from the sudden movement but continues eating the cake. Finished Zhongli moves the cake box for Childe to sit next to him while gesturing his hands to come. Reluctantly Childe sits next to Zhongli and they turn their heads to watch the sunset together. The sunset is near the end and the sky is very dark, Zhongli turns Childe's head to make a final kiss to pair with the dark sky.
