Life is unpredictable. One day you could be holding hands with the parents you love dearly, and the next day you could find yourself staring blankly at their cold corpses.

In attempts to process what is happening, your brain tricks itself. This is all a bad dream and when you wake up your parents are there in the kitchen smiling at you with breakfast ready. Looking up to the man next to you, confident words spill out of your mouth.

"You are lying! Mother and father would never leave me! This is just a bad dream and when I wake up they will be smiling at me again!" Frowning, the man bends down and hugs you ever so gently while patting your head softly.

"I am sorry [Name]... I really am, deeply sorry." Tears spill out of your glassy eyes as you break free from the embrace of the man. Shaking the side of your mother, you urge her to wake up, ignoring the fact of how cold her body was.

"Mother, wake up! I am right here and you promised to play the koto with me again! Wake up!" Nothing happened. Moving on to your father's side, you do the exact same.

"Father! Wake up, please! You have to wake up mother and tell me more stories about your dreams! You promised to tell me another story today!" Nothing again. Desperate, you shake even harder with more tears flooding out.

"Both of you promised! Do not leave me alone!! Please... do not leave me alone..."

"[Name]..." There was nothing the man could do other than feel sympathy and try his best to comfort you during this tough time. With tears and snot dripping down your face, it took a while for you to accept the death of your parents. Deciding it would be best to give you alone time, the man leaves the room silently and waits in the hallway.

"Father? Will [Name]-nee be okay? Can we help her?" Giving a small smile, the man pats the small boy on the head gently.

"Kagaya, she needs time right now. What we can do is look over her and do our best to comfort her. Continue being good to her please." Nodding his head, the boy gives a determined look.

"Of course! [Name]-nee has always been with me! I will be with her and help her as much as I can Father!"

"Thank you, son. Treat her with care."
