Ch 6

Alexis' p.o.v

It's been a few weeks since we got back. School began once again and everything was fine. The twins were ok and would soon visit.

Things between Logan and I seemed to fall and rise at points. I began to notice that Logan was extremely famous around campus. I mean why wouldn't he? He is a CEO of Montenegro corporations. Still I see him around a lot and it's as if I don't exist. Well maybe it's because of graduation coming up. He is salutatorian of the event. I'm sure hat he is busy. Yea we have gone out to the movies and dinner but that's about it.

It's funny because everyone says that he is the same player that he was before we left. In a way I think it's true cause apparently no one knows we are engaged. No one knows we are even together. Girls coming in to the store talk about their amazing one night stands with him.

I kind of hurts y feelings but what can I expect? We never made the contract nor the engagement explicit so in a way I was single.

Today I had the afternoon shift. I heard the bell of the door and looked up. It was Logan and this one cheerleader named Brittany. Blond,tall,slender, and athletic wold describe her. As well as clingy. She was all up on him. When Logan went to order he froze. All I did was raise my eye brow. "Welcome to Starbucks what can I do for youtoday?" I asked. He looked and Brittany and she ordered an iced coffee. Then he asked for a coke. What kind of people come to Starbucks and get something ordinary? Ughh...

I provided to make their orders. "Coke and Iced coffee for Logan" I said. He came up and picked up his order. " I need the contract for the agreement Logan and just wanted to tell u that Eric and the twins will be here for the graduation. " I said as I cleaned the counter. "Ok" he said and walked away.

Not five minutes later came the football team. " hey pretty give us the usual" said Nicolas the captain. He walked up to the cashier and payed. "Hey short cake! I didn't know you worked today." He smiled. I had Nicolas for my biology classes because we were majoring in the same field. Only he wanted to be a veterinarian. On multiple occasions we would chill and grab coffee. " yea rosy got sick so I got to cover. So how's practice coming along?" I asked. "Good the team is rally pumped and we can't wait for the pep rally. " he said as he leaned against the counter. "That's great everyone is all pumped". I said as I looked at the team siting in the booths by the windows.

" hey short cake you know how there are girls who get to where our varsity shirts and sweaters? I was kind of wondering if you could do me the honor of wearing them to the pep rally?..." He said as he looked at his shoes. There was a buff in the crowed and I turned to see. Logan was staring at me all mad looking. I forgot him and kept talking to Nicolas. " About that Nicco I didn't get the tickets and when I went yesterday to get one they were sold out-" "don't trip chocolate chip I got you covered" he said as he pulled out the ticket from his jacket. "Well since you took care of everything then sure why not." I said.

We talked like that until the end of the shift. By the time I was about to leave only the football team was there. Brittany and Logan had left. I walked out into the cold. I looked at my watch it read 8:45 pm. The sun was setting quickly. Nicolas came out of the store. "Short cake it's late and you don't have your car let me take you." " that won't be necessary I can take her" a husky voice I knew by heart said. I turned and saw Logan resting against his Lexus. "Sorry man but I asked first and I live like three houses from her so it's in my way but thanks for the offer" Nicolas said as he put his arm around my shoulder.

"Listen kid make this easier for yourself and don't hurt your brain so much. Step away from the girl and go to your retard buddies inside. " Logan said as he walked up to us. Nicolas stiffened but put his hand around my waist and stood behind me as if spooning me. " well Mr Montenegro sorry to disappoint you but I'm not dumb. I hold a higher GPA than you. I am the validetorian of this years graduation. So you can calm down. See that car over there that's mine. " he said as he pointed at the black Lamborghini standing in the corner. He grabbed my hand and pulled me to the car.
