Gold adored christmas. She loved the holiday joy and warm feelings in every corner of the town. And the thought of going shopping for gifts; both for herself and for her friends and family. She watched the colorful lights wrapped around the tree flicker as she sipped her warm cup of hot chocolate. She was curled up on the sofa with a thick fluffy blanket over her shoulders and wore her comfiest pair of pajamas. "Ah,isn't Christmas just the best! Right,Floof?" She glanced at the small dog,who was enjoying a nice treat he was given. All Gold could do is admire all the lights and dissolve into the warm and cozy feeling of the holidays.

"Hey,Goldie, remember when you always wrote letters to Santa every year?" Her mother asked in a soft tone as she took out a batch of cookies from the oven. Gold raised a brow. "Uh..yeah. When I was a kid,I'd do that. Why..?"
"Wouldn't it be fun to do that again this year? Kinda cute if you think of it! All you teens ever think about is that cliché mistletoe kiss nowadays."
"Aha. Mom,I'm too old for writing letters to Santa. Can't I just help you bake cookies instead?"
Her mother only let out a giggle. "Not after you burnt something for the millionth time! Plus,I've already baked enough."
Gold pouted and thought of the idea. "Guess it wouldn't be too bad. Sounds fun anyway". And so she scurried up to her room and took a piece of paper to her desk.
Tapping a pen to the skull of her head, she wondered about what to write on the letter. Should she write something out of fun or something she truly desires?"What's something I want? Uhm..shoes? Maybe a new top or something?" The brunette asked herself.
'Dear Santa,'
She wrote on the top corner of the paper. She paused for a second then continued to write.
'..Please give me something I won't ever forget.'______________________________
"This feels stupid."She sighed in the cold freezing air, walking along the side walk to the nearest post office. She looked down at the envelope in her hand. It was addressed to Santa from the famous 'North Pole'. Gold found it childish..yet cute. But also kinda stupid.
On her way to the post office, she makes eye contact with a familiar someone.
"Hey,Gold! Merry Christmas!–Ow!" He yelled from the other side of the street, cupping his mouth with his gloved hands as a snowball directly hits the side of his face.
Gold quietly laughed, waving. "Merry Christmas to you too,Evan!" She greeted her classmate. The two weren't that close but they knew each other's name and appearance.
Continuing her walk,Gold looks around the area. Snow covered the ground and trees, pretty decorations, every house or building she passed by was decorated beautifully, everyone was just having a fun time. It was a nice view. A nice feeling.
A gust of strong wind blew against her hair and covered her face. The letter she once held flew away from her grip. "Oh,crap!"
Gold chases after the letter and tries reaching for it in the air. She was tipping on her toes, trying to Panting and almost out of breath, her hand was close enough to touch it. When suddenly another hand grabs onto the letter.
"Uh–Is this yours..?""Kyran! Oh my god!"
The blue haired boy carefully hands her the letter. "Thanks for catching my letter. And Merry Christmas!" Gold smiles, taking the enveloped letter from his hands.
"No problem and Merry Christmas to you too. I didn't know you wrote letters to Santa,Gold."
Gold's cheeks flush red. "Oh! Yeah. My mom made me write one like "when I was younger."
"So what did you ask for? If you don't mind me asking." Kyran asked, interested in Gold's letter. "Nothing much. Just something I wouldn't forget. Y'know, something memorable and stuff." She shrugged.
Her eyes dart to his hands kept behind his back like he was hiding something. Kyran noticed her stare. "B-Before you ask,I'll just give it. Uh..here."
Kyran takes out a small box wrapped in a nice shade red
wrapping paper, laced with a thin gold ribbon. Gold's name was on the tag attached on to the box, meaning it was for her.(I mean...obvi)
The brunette shortly gasped. Her gold glimmering eyes sparkled differently this time. "Is us..that for me?"Kyran shyly nodded his head. "It's not much but I uh..hope you like it anyway." He muttered. Gold holds the gift in her hands smiling.
"Thank you,Kyran. I'm sorry I couldn't get you anything!"
"No,it's fine! Really."
Gold smiled widely as she looked down at the present. She couldn't help but blush about Kyran's thoughtfulness. Then something came into her mind. It was a crazy idea but...it's only gonna happen once, right?
"Well, maybe there is one thing I can give..."Kyran's eyes grew wide and his body stiffened as Gold leaned closer to him, giving him a small kiss on the cheek.
It was hard to process for both of them. Both of them didn't expect that to happen at all. But they're really never gonna forget about it. Ever.
