It was a Sunday evening, her last shift had just ended and she decided an iced tea was well deserved. She strolled towards the store with a smile on her face, but no one knew she was lonely on the inside. No one really talked to her at work and she had moved away from her friends and family a few years ago, now she was living alone looking for a roommate.
The sliding doors opened at her arrival, as usual she smiled at the Chinese lady behind the counter and headed for the glass refrigerators. Not looking, she tripped on the bottom corner of a shelf and stumbled onto a tallish figure with a short loud squeal. As she outstretched her arms, she found herself staring into the eyes of the figure... the figure was a man, with ocean eyes and a ring of navy blue. She jumped up in shock after snapping out of a gaze without this man who had awkwardly had his hands on her hips the entire duration of time they were on the ground. She started to blush intensely whilst dusting her self of roughly.
"I'm sorry, I only meant to get some iced tea, are you ok?" she said with an embarrassed tone. "It's ok, no harm done... maybe a hand?" he said smirking. She held out her hand with a still embarrassed but amused look on her face. He reached out and their fingers wrapped around each other, they both paused- feeling the warmth of each other's palms.
