Guts left?

You quickly shake your head. You weren't going to let him stop you. If Guts could do it, then, so could you.

You force his hand from around your wrist. Taking a few steps backward, you fall on your bottom but quickly get back on your feet again.

"No Griffith, I'm not going back."

His eyes bore into your skin heavily.

You almost reach out to touch your face to make sure it wasn't melting off like the snow crunching under your boots.

His lips never part, almost seeming as if he didn't take you seriously.

But you were.

As serious as you could get even.

"I'm not," you shake your head, your hair shaking beneath your fur hat.

"Lies," his voice was shivering cold.

"That is all you've ever told me. To believe that you truly loved me was my wrongdoing."

You shake your head at his words.

"I did, I did love you..." you almost plead to him.

"Why must you continue to speak anything but the truth?"

"If that were the case then you would not be attempting to leave me," his tone was just flat out bitter and full of denial.

"Why don't you believe me? I do not love you anymore but I did, at least that is the truth."

The sun shines on your clothes warmly.

"And, I do not plan on staying here any longer than I should. Goodbye Griffith."

He stepped forward swiftly and retrieved your wrist in his grasp.

He was completely desperate.

"The love you had for me, what there was is all that matters."

He clung onto the past like a leech.

"There's no going anywhere for as long as you fooled me to believe there was no other man in your heart," he turns back around, pulling you along with him.

Tugging away from him, you halt him in his rapid steps.

"Let me go! I've no clue of what you're talking about."

His disgust was as evident as a zit and he didn't bother to shield it from affecting you.

You felt naked under those diamond eyes and he did nothing but pick at and judge your every insecurity.

"It was a foolish confession then and it is as clear as the skies now."

His grip on you feels numbingly tight.

"Guts. You love him."

His white brows furrowed heavily.

"What difference does it make if I'm completely honest with you?"

"I'm still leaving the band the same way he did and your bitter obsession with me isn't going to stop that."

"I have a dream Griffith just like you. You wouldn't try to stop me."

"Right?"

He let go of you as if burned to the core.

He struggled to process your words, his mouth opening just to shut again.
