36 hours left

Whether it was in the second crime scene, or the third, Rocky couldn't find anything. Since the clue he found in the station, there is nothing else. 10 hours have passed since then, and Rocky begins to despair. The stolen sandwich was not enough to fill his hunger: Rocky is very hungry right now.
It's 9 p.m., the sky is dark and the last lights are on Captain Turbot's boat and Katie's Pet Parlor.

The puppy then observes the crime scene where a couple were killed right after a beach party. Bodies and blood strewn on the floor have been removed but there are still small red spots on the floor that cannot be cleaned up.
"This is my 3rd time coming here .... and why am I coming back?" Rocky thinks.
He looked everywhere, but there is no clue nearby.

Rocky then walks to the beach and lies down. There is trash on the floor from the party a few days ago. And this  trash was not collected because of the fear of the inhabitants for the murderer.

Rocky: I'd rather die than wait to go to jail.

His voice is loud enough that a shadow appears behind Rocky.
Rocky immediately turns around but the shadow is gone.
"Great ... I'm starting to see things that don't even exist now." Rocky says, sighing.
He lies down again, and plays, bored, with his paw and the sand of the beach like a small child would. He digs small holes, makes small drawings, and observes the beautiful pebbles on the beach.

His paw suddenly touches a metal object in the sand.
"Party junk," Rocky thinks, not having seen the object yet.
He therefore removes the object from the sand, and cries out for joy.
"A clue! Finally!" Rocky shouts, hoping no one heard him.

He holds that puptag in his paw.
"The murderer must have lots of puptags identical to mine. Like for example, there was my puptag on the couple's crime" Rocky thinks.

Rocky: But what would do a puptag identical to mine buried in the sand? I need more lights.

Rocky rushes under a lamppost, and observes the object. It is indeed, a puptag identical to Rocky's, but there are designs of pink hearts, flowers, and "Love" written on it plenty of times.

"Everest ...? No, no! It can't be her!" says Rocky, who is hoping to find more clues.
He comes back to where this puptag was, and looks around.
"Footprints!" he exclaims. "Am I too dumb! Why haven't I seen this?"
He then examines these puppy footprints.

Rocky: It can't be Chase or Skye, they've always been with me the last few days.

The footprints are large, much larger than Skye, and smaller than Chase.
"Zuma? No, he has little paws. Rubble? No. Marshall ...?"
Indeed, Marshall has identical footprints, and what would Marshall do at the beach alone because there are no other footprints.

Rocky: But wait ... it looks a lot like Everest too ...

Rocky searches for more, but he finds nothing else. He carefully keeps the puptag in a bag, and with a camera he stole a few hours before, he takes pictures of the footprints from the day of the crime.

In his thoughts, Rocky leaves the beach and lies down behind some trash cans where he will fall asleep.

Could it be Sweetie, his first suspicion? Or Marshall? Or maybe Everest, but why would Everest want to put Rocky in trouble?
