We walked together for about ten minutes, and by now Powder had let go of my hand. We reached to what I think is an elevator. "Alright everyone hop in." Vi ordered as she stepped into the wobbly transport machine. Powder jumped on while the rest walked on with ease. I was left standing... frozen.
"Well c'mon! If you want to live down here, you gotta take leaps." Vi lectured, glaring at me to jump on. I took a deep breath and fearfully creeped on.
"There ya go! Wasn't so hard." Mylo mocked. I didn't even bother to spare him a glance, I was too busy focusing on the wires of this so called "elevator". It was silent pretty much the rest of the way except for a couple of questions from Powder, and the group giving looks to each other, totally not about me (it's about me). Finally it hit the bottom, smoothly? Oh my, what is that smell? My throat is stinging and it burns to breathe! I started hacking, my body just trying to get a breath of fresh air, refusing this toxic air. The group looked at me, not out of sympathy but out of remembrance. "I almost forgot that you topsiders have fresh air, this must suck for you huh?"
"Mylo you should stop, she doesn't know better." Goggle boy whispered barely audible.
"Oh shut up Claggor, Princess Y/n needs to learn what it's actually like down here." So his name is Claggor, noted. I cleared my still burning throat and took a deep breath, to get used to it faster. I wiped my watering eyes and got up from my hunched position. "Alright lead the way." I looked at Vi, she seemed slightly shocked by the fact I wanted to continue. She looked at me almost as if saying, last chance to turn around and head home. She then proceeded forward.

I acknowledge my new surroundings in fear and in awe. It was so different from Piltover, uneven buildings filled the city, creating many alleyways and streets. Neon lights filled the streets on every corner, replacing the sun in a way. It was dark, like living in a nightclub, just enough light to see your surroundings. A soft green and slight purple glow covered the city, more evident due to the lights. I'm assuming the green and purple are the toxins in the air. The buildings were all different shapes and connected to bridges that were above me. The whole place looked like an unfinished construction site. In front of us were hundreds of trashy market booths. This must be the black market father always talks about. One thing that stood out was what looked like humanoid creatures and mutated humans walking around or selling. It was quite the sight to see for someone who lived in Piltover. I noticed Vi pulling her hoodie over her head, I was a little confused but soon realized why. About a millisecond later I heard a whistle behind me, I looked back to see some boys about my age and some way older guys eyeing me down. I felt someone grab my shoulder and I quickly whipped around to see who it was. There stood Vi turning me around, she glared at them and pushed me in the direction to where we were walking. "Don't make eye contact with anyone here, unless I say so. Got it?" She fiercely muttered under her breath. I gave her a unsure nod. I'm deciding to follow along since this is their street, we're not in mine anymore.

Passing all the fights, drugs, and prostitutes we finally made it to a place with a big sign that read, "The Last Drop". Vi pushed open a big door that I assumed was the main entrance. She held open the heavy door to let everyone through but let go right before I went through, letting it slam on my foot. Thus squishing my right foot in the door crack. "AOW!" I yelped as I tried to push the door open to release the pressure on my poor foot. Vi opened the door from the other side, "Oh I'm sorry, hand slipped." She unapologetically smiled.
"Yeah, thanks." I replied, blinking the upcoming tears away. I think that door is made of steel, holy shit that hurt. I think it broke something.
We hurriedly walked (I limped) through the pub, passed all the customers and avoided eye contact with all of them. She led us to a back room or basement (I couldn't tell since it's different from Piltover), it was small but had two couches and an armchair. Vi hid the bag full of stolen goods and plopped onto the arm chair. They all sat down while I stood awkwardly. Vi looked at me and signaled her eyes to the empty spot next to Powder, I caught on and walked over and sat down on the worn down couch.
"Vander learns none of this." Vi states with her hand on her head. "No worries, it's not like we have Princess Y/n sitting here in The Lanes." Sarcasm laced Mylo's voice as he replied.
"Ok but why did you even want to live down here with us? Why?" Vi questioned as she leaned forward expecting an answer.
I shrugged my shoulders, "I'm just tired of Piltover, the council, and my boring life. I need excitement in my life. Also they wouldn't help you guys so I left." I finished.
