As I slowly make my way to the great entrance of Las Nevadas, a wave of nervousness washes over me. I'd only been there once and didn't know where I was meant to go from the entrance. I step under the great gates. The view of the place astounded me yet again. It was even better when I wasn't in pain and my vision wasn't blurred. While I'm paused to admire the view, I don't hear the gentle footsteps as Quackity approaches me.
"Beautiful isn't it?"
I jump a little as Quackity leaves through a small pile of papers in his hand.
"It really is," I smile. "I can't believe that you started this, I mean, this must have taken so long to plan and to even start and finish these buildings."
"I've had a bit of help along the way," Quackity smiles, folding a piece of paper up and tucking it into his pocket. "Sam helped a lot with the planning and some of the building. Foolish is a newer member and has been doing a few of the newer buildings."
"It's still a lot," I insist. Quackity merely smiles, reaching out to ruffle my hair. He hands me half of the pile of papers he was holding.
"There's all the information you need on those," he says, tucking the rest under his arm. "Now we should give you a tour so you hopefully don't get lost." He takes me by the arm and leads me into the quiet city.
He mostly just names what's in most of the buildings and tells me they won't be important to me. We continue on to a building just to the side of the main one.
"Quackity of Las Nevadas!" A strange "human" runs over smiling followed quickly by Foolish and Fundy. Short light brown hair, white shirt with three red hearts and an undone light green tie with beige suspenders. His outfit is similar to Quackity's; only Quackity's tie is red. He appears to have a popsicle stick sticking out of his head around a particularly slime green part. Foolish wears a white shirt with his classic grey shark poncho over top. A gold tie, black track pants, and tall brown boots. Fundy is wearing his classic leather jacket with stripes and hat. His fur is a slightly sandier shade than normal.
"Slime you can't go running off like that," Foolish sighs as he places a hand gently on Slime's arm. Slime appears not to have heard poor Foolish.
"Hello Y/N of the Pride Palace," Slime offers a hand out to shake. I accept it happily. His hand felt like slime, cold, wet, and slightly sticky. I brush it off, I mean a slime wouldn't be the weirdest thing to ever appear on the server.
"Hey Y/N," Foolish smiles as he pulls the hood from his poncho down. He runs a hand through his short dark brown hair to brush it out of his golden face.
"Hey Foolish," I smile. I didn't know Foolish well, we'd had a few run ins and I'd hired him to help with building before but that was really about it. Fundy stands a little awkwardly to the side, he gently grabs Slime's arm.
"Come on Slime, we need to go and grab those papers from the office."
"Hey Fundy," I say as Slime begins to follow him off to the main building.
"Hey Y/N."
As he and Slime disappear off, Foolish turns to me.
"I hear you're going to be working here with us?"
"Oh yea I am."
"That's awesome! It'll be nice to see you around more."
"Yea."
"I'm afraid the two of you are going to have to chat later," Quackity butts in. "We need to continue your tour and I need to show you where you're going to be working."
"Alright, well I have some more buildings I need to get to," Foolish smiles. "I'll see you round."
"Will do. Bye Foolish," I wave as Quackity gently takes my arm and leads me to the main building. The main building was filled with many different types of slot machines, card tables, and there was a bar in the back. Some of the slot machines and other various pieces of furniture were still in the plastic coverings. The lights flicker on and I cover my eyes as Quackity removes a couple of dust sheets out of the way.
"We'll go to the top floor of my office to sort out your role, uniform, and I can also get you a tour of the place."
"That'd be great, thanks Quackity. This place is like a maze."
As we make our way into a lift, the ones like in the fancy really high end hotels. As we speed up to the top most floor, cheesy elevator music plays in the background. I sigh, leaning against the cool metal elevator handles, leaning my head against the wall.
"Tired?"
"Little yea. Stomach is still healing and that takes a bit out of me." I say untucking the white shirt to show a scar across my stomach.
"Are you sure you're ready to work?" Quackity says reaching out a hand to feel my forehead. "If you aren't ready yet we can always choose another date. I wouldn't want you putting your health at risk."
"I'm fine promise, just a little sleepy. I'll just take it easy for the first couple of weeks."
"Well if you're sure."
Ding!
Quackity steps out of the elevator to reveal a dimly lit hallway, a well dressed butler bows us through a large set of doors at the end of the hallway. Quackity slips in behind his desk, leafing through some papers in a drawer. He pulls out a file, it has a picture of me and a small note attached with a paper clip but I don't get enough time to read it. He opens up the file to a survey sheet and hands it to me with a pen.
"If you could please fill this out, it's just basic information we may be lacking and health information that we lack." Quackity grabs another pen reaching for the pile of paper he brought in with him. "Don't forget to put the injury on your stomach, I will know if you don't."
Iroll my eyes and stare down at the form. It asks the basic questions such as:
What is your full name?
Y/N L/N
Do you have any family on this server?
No
It was things like that. Simple and quick to answer. As I worked through the survey, Quackity continued to read over and fill out the paper he had brought. He was watching me out of the corner of his eyes, analyzing me. I flip over the paper to find a blank sheet. Quackity turns back to fully face me, taking the paper and tucking it away into the folder.
"Right then, the ground rules are on this next piece of paper as well as any vital information, if you have any questions please ask me or someone else working here."
He reaches for a com dark blue com sitting on his desk and hands it to me. It's like the coms we have for communicating with everyone on the server only branded with the Las Nevadas logo.
"This is how you can communicate with us all with greater ease. This one is mine so you'll be given one soon. Also avoid decorating it with stickers please, we want to appear professional."
"Alright. Anything else I need to remember or take note of?"
Quackity reaches over, taking his com back he pushes one of the buttons and says:
"Nova to my office please, I repeat Nova to my office please. And yes the window is open."
Quackity puts the com safely in one of his coat pockets and begins to clear the piles of papers away into drawers rather quickly.
"Do you need a hand?"
"Nah I'm fine I just don't want them all to go flying."
"What?!"
A tinted window in the corner of the room opens and a person steps through. Her long black hair is tied back into a ponytail with a gold crown-like hair piece with a diamond in the middle. A pair of grey googles shroud her purple eyes and a scar that runs down the right side of her face. She folds her dull yellow wings away neatly, tucking her light grey scarf behind her. Turquoise crop top hoodie with off shoulder sleeves, matching coloured knee high boots, and black slightly ripped jeans. She pushes the googles up and off her face, and walks quickly over to Quackity's desk bowing softly.
"Morning Quackers."
"Really Nova? The nickname." She gives a smug smile.
"Awww what's wrong?" She pats him on the head and turns to me. "You must me Y/N, the new employee."
"That's me. You must be Nova then."
"Yep, I suppose I'm meant to be taking you on a tour of Las Nevadas." She turns to Quackity.
"Yes you will be." Quackity pulls out a backpack and hands it to her. "All the things you'll need are in there, make sure they get all of it and don't forget to visit Sam to get a com."
"I won't. Come on Y/N."
"Tell Indie I say hi."
A light blush creeps across Nova's face.
"I will."
Quackity laughs as Nova leads me out of the room.

Authors Notes

Second chapter finally. Forgot to add that I'll have some oc's in this. They're just side characters to help and run places like the prison. They don't change the story much.
