I had 3 days to settle in before I headed into work, they were somewhere in California.

God, why me?

I walked into qauntico and headed for the unit chiefs office, my old boss told me that Emily prentiss was the unit chief.

I knocked on the door.

"Come in."

I walked in slowly and nervously.

"Hi- uh- I'm y/n l/n, I was hired as the assistant unit Chief here. I was just wondering where my office was. "

I almost choked on my words I was so nervous.

"Oh, welcome! I'm agent Prentiss and your hall is right. Down there-"she pointed to a small office with the printings Assistant unit chief- y/n l/n

"Oh thank you! When are we going on our next case?"  I was a little bit more settled.

"We should be later today, at about 4 or later. "

I said my thank you and was handed some paper work. I went to my office and sat down to do it.

Being super smart has its benefits, only took my 20 minutes.

I mostly just sat in my office, I hate meeting new people, or change, for that matter.  Maybe that's why I worked in London for 10 years..
Before that- I was csi for the American fbi .

Knock knock.

"Come in!" I said it so surprised.

"Hi, I'm supervisory special agent Luke Alvez. it's great to meet you, I have some paper work from my mr scratch case. I was told to give it to you?"

I remember prentiss told me I'd have stuff going through me and her.

"It's nice to meet you to, just call me y/n as well, no fancy things like agent or stuff. " he handed me the file and went on with his day.

My door was left open but I didn't mind- I was reading a book when I overheard a conversation between some of the members.

"Y/n l/n.. Reid wasn't that the name of your best friend through high school and college?" - Garcia

"Yeah, the last time we talked was the case for Ian Doyle. This might be super awkward. "  -Reid

I looked up from my book and stared at the wall,

I was surprised Reid still worked here.

Someone walked into my room.

"Agent l/n, meeting in 5 minutes."

It's was Linda Barnes.

I DONT EVEN KNOW WHERE TO GO HOW DO YOU EXPECT ME TO MAKE IT THERE?!

"Alright, I'll be there. "

OMG IM GONNA KILL MYSELF BEFORE THIS DAY IS OVER.

I almost slapped myself but instead I got up and walked out of the room, surely someone will know.

"Hey Reid- prentiss! Where's Linda Barnes office?!"

Reid looked over surprised- "well hello I geuss" with a sort of 😀 look on his face.
