Jake and I decided to walk at the park, there are not so many people around but there are still some kids playing on the playground, where are their parents?

A little boy walk closer to Jake, he smiled and held his hands, don't tell me Jake will do a slide?

I don't know who these kids are but, they're so funny and entertaining. I went to the bench near the slide, I looked at Jake who's now hesitated to come with the kid.

Instead of Jake taking a slide, he just holds the boy's hand to guide him before he slides.

The kids scream in joy, "I want that too!" a little girl said behind Jake, he put a smile on his before taking the kid to the next slide.

They all want to take a slide but it's already late and, kids at this time should be at home already.

"Can you look for them?" He ran to me, breathy.

I nodded, "Take a sit here, I'll just buy it for them." I started to walk to the nearest ice cream stall in the park, gladly they're still open.

"Seven pieces," The girl nodded and immediately get my order. I pay for it before leaving, and when I get back there— Jake is playing with the kids again.

I sat beside them, A kid named Hiro sit on my lap, he's cute and he looks like someone, but I can't remember who it is.

I gave him the vanilla-flavored ice cream, my arms wholeheartedly hugged him, he's not just cute, he's also soft.

"You're pretty," the boy said while licking his ice cream, me?

"Uh, thanks?" I answered, even though I don't really know if he's talking to me.

"Hiro? May I ask, where are your parents?" Jake asked.

Hiro just stared at Jake, it seems like he doesn't want to answer his question.

"I only live with my mom, my father... I don't know who he is." He said with a low tone, he must be sad for what his father did to him, he's still a kid he doesn't deserve this.

"Then where is your mom?" Did Jake ask again, why so curious Jake hmm?

"Someone dragged her, she said she's fine so I decided to just play with them." Hiro pointed at the kids in front of him, they're busy with their ice cream.

Someone dragged her mom somewhere and he's not bothered? If I were him, I'll immediately call the police.

"Oh, do you want us to bring you home?" I asked, he really looks like someone I know.

The boy nods his head, "Yes please, I can't afford to pay for a taxi." Jake chuckled.

We bid goodbye to the kids, as their parents are already here. Hiro didn't let go of my hands until we reached Jake's car, Hiro wants to sit beside me so I joined him at the back.

In the middle of the ride, he falls asleep.

Jake stopped his car in front of an apartment, Hiro told him his address so maybe, here it is.

He carried Hiro, while I'm looking for their unit's number, "Here!" I said while pointing at the number fifty-eight.

I pressed the doorbell, and it suddenly opened. Revealing a gorgeous woman in front of us.

"Hyumi?" Jake asked, he knows her?

The girl named Hyumi gulped, "Give me my— brother." Jake let out a sigh, undecided to let Hyumi handle the kid.

I'm literally confused, why is she avoiding my gaze? and why isn't she answering Jake's questions? They obviously know each other.

"Why are you denying your child?" Jake said out of the blue, Hyumi said that it's his brother so why is he now saying that Hiro is her child?

"Thanks for bringing him home safely," The girl was about to close the door but Jake quickly pushed it. He bring out his phone and dialed someone.

Hyumi widen her eyes, and tried to reach Jake's phone but— Jake is taller than her.

"Jake don't, please?" She begged with her knees on the ground, I went to Hiro on the couch he's sleeping peacefully.

"So that's why he looks familiar to me," Jake uttered, "You can't keep this forever Hyumi."

"I know, but please let me handle this—"

"Until when?" Jake raised his voice, making the girl widen her eyes more.

"Jake, don't you remember that he didn't believe me when I told him that I'm pregnant?" Hyumi raised her voice at Jake's back.

"He even called me a bitch and slut, now shut your mouth and let us live peacefully."

She stare at me but quickly turn it back, "Thanks for taking care of him," She smiled at me.

Whatever that is, they should fix it for their child, I can't see myself living without my parents, that is going to be really hard for me.

I saw Jake leaning against the wall, "You look stressed, go home and take a rest. I'll just grab a taxi." but he shook his head.

"I'll take you home, I also need to take with Shinro."

He again hold my hand and didn't leave it until we reach his car, what's with Shinro? why does he have to talk with him? about what?
