Chapter 20: Fly with Peter Pan

"What is all this about?", I blurted out and was still staring emptily at the contract which was lying in front of me.

"Eh? I thought that you two have already decided on going on for the show?", Jinyoung hyung gave me a questionable look before turning to face Mark.

"Mark-ssi? You didn't talk to Wendy-ssi about this?"

MARK'S POV

I bit into my bottom lips.

Initially, I haven't thought of using this method to tie her to me but what Jin had told me over the phone a few hours ago, convinced me so.

*FLASHBACK*

After coming out from the shower, my phone happened to ring. Placing the towel over my damp hair, I picked it up and answered in no time.

It was from an unknown number.

"Yobeoseyo?"

"Mark-ssi, it's Jin here", the voice on the other line said.

I swallowed my saliva once I heard that it was him calling. Somehow, I felt that anything that had to do with him is definitely linked with Wendy. I have always seen him as a rival and I really hate it whenever he sticks around Wendy, especially recently.

Without showing any mercy, I told him straight,

"I'm not giving up on Wendy! If you are calling to talk about her, that's what I can only say to you."

I was about to hang up after which when he shouted through the line.

"Wait Mark-ssi! Don't hang up on me!"

I placed the phone back onto my ear, but was still a little impatient for his words.

"Are you still there?", he asked.

"Ne", I rolled my eyes,

"Make it quick."

There was a brief moment of silence before Jin spoke again.

"I'm calling today not to ask you to give up on Wendy-ssi... Instead, I want you to go back to her...", he trailed and I swear I heard his voice cracked as he continued on.

"Mark-ssi, I know that you are always unhappy when Wendy-ssi comes to me whenever she have problems, but really, we are nothing more than just friends. I admit, I admit that I had wanted to take the chance to make her mine, but it will never happen. It will never happen as her heart has always been with you and it still does. The main reason as to why she chose to break up with you was because Jessica had threatened to hurt the both of you. All along, she was just trying to protect you. So, I hope that you will understand now..."

I was loss for words and I don't know what to feel now. The only words which managed to come out from my mouth next was only "Thank you", to which he replied with a "Welcome."

"Then, I guess I will see you at XX Bowling alley later?"

I pondered for a short while before I answered him with a 'Yes'. All of a sudden, Jin felt like my best pal and I really owe him much for sharing with me all these information about Wendy. Without him, I wouldn't have known.

Before I hung up, I asked him one last question.

"Then what about you hyung?"

There was short pause and then he answered,

"Me? I'm tired too... So now, I'm letting you know that I will be the one who will be letting her go... Take care of Wendy-ssi for me."

"That, you don't have to mention. I will."
