Chapter 6: A Couple Driven Apart?

That afternoon, Aiden saw Nebula leave with her friends after work. She handed Rad their daughter. "Don't forget, there's chicken and vegetables in the fridge for dinner. After dinner is bath time, then light playtime. She needs to be in bed by eight, no sugar or technology before bed, no scary or exciting movies" Nebula said. "Babe, you're just going out for the night, not for the week," Rad said. "But still" she started. "No buts except your's leaving with your friends! We'll be fine" Rad said. He then kisses her cheek. "Have fun" he said and they shared a brief kiss before she walked off with her friends.

Aiden followed Rad back to his home and he waited as Rad took care of Ula. Once Rad put her down for a nap, Aiden created an illusion of her walking past Rad and out into the nearby woods near the backyard. "Huh? Ula! Ulana get back here!" Rad called as he chased after her, only for her to go deeper into the woods. Aiden smirked and watched as Rad searched for his missing daughter. After a while, he created an illusion of Nebula walking towards him with Ula in her arms. "Babe? What are you doing back so early?" he asked.

"Really Radicles? Can I really not enjoy a night out with my friends without worrying about you and Ula? Apparently not since you let her wander into the woods alone! You're lucky that I returned home early you insolent buffoon" she yelled. Rad tried to explain what happened but Nebula walked off in a huff with Ula still in her arms. "I swear, you are so irresponsible" she said. Aiden smirked and a strong smell filled the room. Rad sniffed the air and he smelt something on Nebula. "What the?" he questioned and he moved her scarf aside to see a large mark on her neck. Nebula pushed past him and walked out the door.

That night, Rad sat on the couch as he processed what had happened. He heard the door being unlocked and he turned his head to see Nebula walking into the room. "Hi honey! Did you and Ula have fun?" she asked and she went to kiss his cheek. Rad quickly moved away and glared at her as Nebula sat next to him. "Everything okay Rad?" she asked and he scoffed. "You tell me! Wouldn't you rather be with your mystery guy?!" he asked coldly. "What are you talking about?" she asked and Rad moved her scarf aside. "What happened to your mark? Did you decide to hide it so no one would know that you cheated on me?" he asked venomously.

"Just what are you talking about?!?! I would never cheat on you! You know that I was with the girls and I can call them and they will tell you exactly what we were doing!" she argued. "Why bother! I know that they'd be covering for you! Now what did you do with Ula?!" Rad yelled. "What do you mean?!?! Ula was supposed to be here with you all night!" Nebula yelled. "But you just took her somewhere! I'm asking you where you took her!" Rad yelled and they both heard what sounded like Ula crying.

They both raced up the stairs and into Ula's room to see her in her bed crying. "Mommy, Daddy, why were you yelling?" she cried. "Mommy and Daddy were worried about you and we just had a little miscommunication, that's all" Nebula cooed. "We're sorry if we woke you" Rad said softly. He and Nebula looked at each other and sighed. "Look baby, why don't you go back to sleep, everything is alright" he said. Ula settled under the covers and Rad and Nebula kissed her head. "Sleep tight" Nebula said and they walked out of the room and then down to the living room.

They both sighed as they sat on the couch. "Nebs, I'm sorry that I exploded on you. I just don't understand, if you were out with your friends, then what was with the you that I saw walking off earlier?" he asked. The two then looked at each other. "Aiden!" the said in unison. Rad then stood up and he began to search the room. "This is so like him to try and separate us just to get to you! He was there at our wedding, he knows that you're my wife and yet he is still trying to get you to be with him! I swear, when I see him, I'll kick his butt into next week!" Rad ranted. Nebula looked at the clock and she put a hand on his arm. "You'll get to beat him up as much as you want once we can get our hands on him. For now, we need to get our rest" Nebula said. "What do you say we get to bed" She suggested as she walked her fingers up his arm. Rad smirked and he scooped her up in his arms.

Meanwhile, Aiden saw Nebula and Rad heading up the stairs. "I suppose that if I want her to be mine, I'll have to get her myself!" Aiden said. He then smirked. "And I know exactly what to do! If I can't have the her from this timeline, then maybe I can get then her from a different one!" he then opened a portal and he was taken to a lavish ballroom that was filled with villains.

He spotted a familiar tall and slender man with lilac skin, stubble, and black spiky hair that was slicked back. He was wearing a suit with a semi dark jacket and matching pants with a black vest and white undershirt and a brown belt with a silver square belt buckle and a navy blue tie. Aiden spotted a female with blue skin in a long dark purple dress walk over to the male as he was talking to a lizard male that was also in a suit. The top of her dress was dark purple, almost black, while the skirt was a bit lighter with a piece of tool that matched the top. It also had a belt that matched the skirt. After they danced and sang a duet, the lilac male exited and Aiden approached the female.

"Greetings Lady HeartBreaker" he said and the female was forced out of her shock. "Who are you and what do you want?" she asked. He then bowed to her. "I am Aiden and I have a little secret to tell you. If you would follow me" he said and he motioned to the balcony.

Heartbreaker followed him and Aiden shut the door behind them. "That man that you danced with. He is exactly who you think he is" he said. "What do you mean?" she asked.

"Well, have you ever wondered what might have been if Laserblast never died? Well, news flash, he never died! In the explosion, he hid in the sewer pipe. That shop was his secret lab. Remember how Doctor Greyman lost his powers? Those orbs belonged to Laserblast. He was growing tired of being a hero at P.O.I.N.T. and after that night you thought that you lost him, he lost his powers. In trying to get his powers, he ended up turning into Professor Venomous, aka the man that recognized " Aiden explained and HeartBreaker was silent.

"If you don't believe me, Silverspark has his helmet. Go to her home and you will see that I am right" he said and a girl with purple skin in an all purple dress with a black design on the top and a black belt walked onto the balcony.

"Who iz zhis?" she asked suspiciously. "I'm here to change your lives" he said with a smirk
