"Sweetie, diners ready!"
"COMING!" I shouted. I came out of the shower and put on a gown, then went down for diner. "My favourite!"
"Of course! Passion fruit macaroons!"
I ate, then went upstairs and carried on drawing. "Kris!" I stoked my kitty, and kissed it. She's adorable! I suddenly had an idea. I put kris' paw in paint, and put it all over the page. I giggled, and realised the time. It was 2am. I laid down and fell asleep. I had a dream of me running out in school, with friends, laughing and being happy. Home was more like a prison. I couldn't go Out at all! I hated it here sometimes. Helping my parents was fun but.. I wanted to go out. I woke up at 5am, and went to the balcony. I saw my parents, talking to a man. I went downstairs and ran out of the door, quietly. I listened.
"I need my daughter back."
"We made a deal, Gabriel. You give us the kid, and we give you all our savings, and valuables. If you want the kid, give us double of what we gave you. We need her for money."
I was shaking, I couldn't move, breathe or speak. I wanted to scream, but I knew I couldn't. I ran into my room and started crying. I got up, and started to pack my bags, I would leave. Today. I hid the bag under the table, and went for breakfast. I couldn't even bring myself to kiss them anymore like I always did.
"Morning darling!"
"Hey... mon- I mean mum and dad!"
"You okay?"
"Just tired d-dad.. thanks."
I ate, and went upstairs, carried on packing. I remembered about kris.. what will she do? I quickly sewed her a leash, and packed some of her stuff. She would come with me. I waited until it was night. 1:30am. My parents were sleeping. I made sure, opened the balcony, put the leash on Kris, threw my fabric out of the balcony and tied it up. Then climbed down. It was night, where would I go? I yanked the fabric off and tied it around my neck. I crossed the road, and walked for a bit, with kris in my arms. We found an abandoned garage, and went inside. The door barely closed, but to our luck, we made it close! There was also lights, and radiators! We sat down, and I put down my blanket and pillow, hugged kris, and fell asleep.
