"What're you doing?" you mumbled.
You had gone with the boys to England to ghost hunt. You had started your adventure at the Langham hotel, and now you were at St. Andrew's Church. Things had gone well enough, the boys had gotten a lot of evidence. But, when you woke to your boyfriend Sam getting up, wandering to the entrance of the church, you knew it wasn't enough for him. You got up, following him to the door, catching him by the arm before he could go any further.
"Just gotta see it for myself, without the cameras," Sam whispered back. "Gotta know for myself."
"You shouldn't do this on your own. You're in a different country, in a town we don't even know. Anything could happen."
"I gotta do it myself."
You frowned, trying to figure out what to do. Sam was stubborn, and you knew that. So, you let go of his arm, but said, "Fine. But I'm staying out here. I'll stay by the door so you know I'm not interfering with whatever you're doing, okay? But I need to know you're safe."
"Y/N—"
"No, no arguing," you interrupted. "You and Colby keep forgetting this, but safety comes first. No amount of content or, or whatever you're doing, will change that. It doesn't matter what you find if you're dead or seriously injured."
Sam sighed, before reaching up, taking your face in his hands. He pressed a kiss to your lips, before saying, "Just ten minutes. That's all I need, then I'll come right back here."
"And I'll be here waiting, okay?" When he nodded, you said, "I'll give you fifteen minutes. But if you're not back before then, or if you start screaming, I'm gonna come get you."
