Dazai and Chuuya had never met.
Dazai was a popular, funny, charismatic character at his school, people confessing to him as if not doing so was a death wish, which although Dazai hated to admit, it more or less was due to his concerningly violent fangirls. And fanboys.
Chuuya also shared the fact he was popular at his school, although he did not have the qualities of funny or charismatic. He was, for lack of a better word, a rebel. He cared little for the dress code, got in scrambles with anyone who teased him (especially for his laughable height) and was seen as the 'bad boy' who everyone either wanted to be or wanted to date.
Dazai was comfortable at his school, alongside his closest friend, Atsushi. Atsushi was not as popular, but nonetheless a very kind and genuinely likeable person. Dazai knew that at his school, as much as he hated it, he would have to find a way to stop the people trying to ask him out. Especially since 2 new students were due to arrive the next week. An idea, a very, very awful idea was his last hope. He was going to have to pretend to date Atsushi, even though he knew Atsushi would gladly reject him any day (and he would gladly reject Atsushi) it was his last, and only hope. Atsushi did not object. They shook hands and knew neither of them actually had feelings. Dazai was a good enough actor, and Atsushi was always kind anyway.
Chuuya was not the only 'rebel' at his school. A boy in his year, whom he was not exactly close with but was definitely not strangers to, named Akutagawa was not as flashy as Chuuya, but certainly beat enough people up to be a 2nd place to Chuuya. Chuuya absolutely hated the thought of new people at a new school asking him out, just for him to beat them up and walk away. It was safe to say he had had enough. Him and Akutagawa somehow came to a reasonable agreement about what was going to happen. Akutagawa and Chuuya were going to pretend to date. Of course there were no real romantic feelings, since Chuuya was definitely straight and Akutagawa was emotionally constipated and never showed any feelings except anger.
Dazai only told his close 'friends', Kunikida (the kid who reminds the teacher to assign homework) and Yosano (the lesbian who kicks ass but respectfully) about the fake dating being fake. He knew Atsushi was going to end up telling his friends, Kyoka (the quiet girl who has a death stare), Kenji (the wholesome one) and Ranpo (the dumbest smart kid ever) but he didn't care, he was close enough to all of Atsushi's friends and trusted them.
Chuuya, on the other hand, was moving to a new school with Akutagawa, and the only people he would know there would be his cousin, Kouyou (the mom of the group), the headmaster who happened to be his stepfather (it was complicated), Mori, and Akutagawa's sister, Gin Akutagawa who had already moved there with her girlfriend, Higuchi.
A/N: I had an idea, so I had to get it out before I went back to procrastinating. Hope you enjoy this little prologue, unfortunately every chapter is going to be one ahead (chapter one as written will be chapter 2 on here) because wattpad. Also I have some very good ideas for this fic so expect updates till the end of break. Then expect random shit once every 2 weeks.
585 words in total, gonna try and aim for 500+ per chapter which is gonna be hard considering i usually write crappy 200 word chapters once every full moon.
