PERFECT CHRISTMAS.

Sarah Blake took a look at the house she had made home and sighed. The house she had inherited at her parents' death along with all their possessions and wealth, being their only child.

There were chairs covered with ash, expensive furs scattered around the house in cognitive patterns. The wall was painted with gold and pictures was scattered across the walls. The curtains around the windows matched the chairs covers. The floors were tiled with expensive marbles.

Anyone who stepped into the house would know that the owner values orderliness and that the owner has an expensive taste. After all, that was the first thing that had come to Sarah's mind when she had first stepped into the house.

Along with the gigantic house, she had inherited the loneliness of living in such a big house alone. To make matters worse, the people of Light Villa all treated her like an enemy and kept their distance from her.

She wouldn't be surprised if her parents had done something to earn hatred from the people. After all, they were just her parents by birth and nothing more. When she was only 4, her parents had dumped her in a boarding school. She was only allowed to come for a visit once in a year. A visit that lasted for just 3 days, before she got dumped back to the school.

When she was a kid, she had tried all she could to get her parent's love and approval, always excelling at whatever she did. But, as she grew, she learned to keep her distance too. She stopped coming home and stopped caring.

She had been so desperate for someone's company that she had signed up on a matchmaking app where two people got matched for a date. After a week of not getting matched with a single person though, she had lost hope and deleted the application.

Sarah sat down on one of the chairs and her cat jumped on the chair beside her. She carried the cat into her arms and the cat meowed softly, which made Sarah smiled. If it weren't for the cat, Sarah couldn't imagine how lonely her life would be.

Every year, Sarah would buy a gift for her cat and herself. She would put them under the Christmas tree, and on Christmas day, she pretends the gift was from a stranger or a loved one and cherish it.

This Christmas was no difference. For this one, she had gotten herself an expensive perfume and a bow for her cat. She had sprayed the perfume on herself, and the bow for her cat.

Her doorbell rang once, then twice. Sarah held her cat closely to herself, as if her life depends on it. And maybe it does, since she wasn't expecting anyone. The bell rang again, and as if she was being controlled, Sarah walked to the door and flung it opened. There was a man standing on the other side of the door.

“Heard you called 911 for your love life, Miss. I am here to answer the call.” The man said almost immediately.

“I'm sorry, but who are you?” Sarah asked.

“Pardon my manners. I'm Ian, from match me app. We got matched by the app.”

Sarah couldn't believe her ears. She got matched? She looked at the man and thought to herself: perhaps, it could be the perfect Christmas after all.

She looked at the man again, and their eyes met. The man smiled and Sarah's heart did a flip. She smiled back at Ian.

It's definitely going to be the perfect Christmas. She thought to herself.
