Iori Shihana (庵死蘭, Shihana Iori) is a young girl from Shibuya, Tokyo. She and her parents live above her family's flower shop, named Iori Senzai (庵前栽, Iori's Garden). After encountering her elder self in her dreams, Iori appears in an alternate earth, where humans are able to use special powers called "Jutsu".

PERSONALITY

Growing up, Iori's greatest influence is her mother, Hanako, who teaches her about flowers in the hopes that her daughter will one day take over their shop for her. By habit, she compares herself to the orchid, hence the nickname given to her by her elder sister, Suisen, meaning "Little Flower Girl" (小蘭乙女), because of how fragile she thinks herself to be. Iori is very kind-spirited, in contrast to her sharp-tongued elder sister, and is very sensitive to the feelings of others around her. She is easily emotional, and tends to be sentimental. Iori doesn't like when her mother hovers over her, or when she doesn't allow her to do something on her own. She tries to be independent, but the occasion to do so is rare, as she always requires the assistance of others. Because Iori is homeschooled, she currently doesn't have any friends: after an incident that occured on the first day of school - one of the older students picked on her for always looking tired - Iori refused to return. Iori has an underlying social anxiety disorder from this event, and because she fears being bullied, she rarely leaves her home.

For her age, Iori is surprisingly perceptive, and is able to weed out a lie from a truth. She always sticks to what she believes in, even if it might be the wrong thing. The dreams Iori has are extremely vivid, and once she became old enough, she had been able remember them perfectly. According to Iori, each night she has the same dream, it seems to get longer, and includes more and more detail each night. To lengthen this time period, Iori concludes that the more she sleeps, the longer the dream will go on, so she typically takes one to two naps a day, in between morning and night.

APPEARANCE

Iori has long, braided dark brown hair, round green eyes, and light skin. She normally has dark circles under her eyes, even though she sleeps more than the average child. Iori's ankles and knees curve inwards from a lack of exercise. She wears a dark purple vest overtop a light purple t-shirt, and a matching green skirt with a pair of wooden geta. After arriving in an alternate earth, Iori wears a light purple dress, a pair of black sandals, and has her hair up in an elastic. Because she doesn't get out much, Iori is very pale, always staying up in her room or in her family's flower shop.

ABILITIES

Currently, Iori does not have any noticeable strength or agility, but has noted on several occasions that she can repair a wilted flower by touching it.

⦁The name "Shihana" means "city of flowers", and "Iori" means "honest", but can be roughly substituted for "kindred" or "genuinity".

⦁On the real earth, Iori lives in Shibuya, Tokyo, with her parents and elder sister above their family's flower shop.

⦁Iori likes arranging bouquets, takings frequent naps, watching television with Suisen, and eating natto (fermented soy beans).
