Contract Marriage | Kim Taehyung

Part 11

Timeskip: Eight months later 

You woke up to the chirping sound of the birds and yet again you found Taehyung sleeping beside you hugging your waist while his head rested near your shoulder. You could feel his hot breath fanning your earlobe. This routine was no longer a surprise for you. In the beginning he rarely came to your room and slept with your already unconscious body but from the past four months it started to be a daily routine. You asked him a few times why he was in your room but he ignored you and got up to get ready for work. 

Taehyung's determination to his work turned him into a workaholic that he ended up ignoring his own health. You knew it was an important project for him and would give his all in this, but his healthy was important. Hw also stopped talking to you. You understood that it was because of the work pressure and presentation. In this case Taehyung didn't trust anybody. Not even his father's most trusted person. You tried to talk it out with him, but in the end you got ignored. Maybe because his trust was already broken once and somehow he was saved from being a big disappointment in himself. 

You got up the bed and put your bolster beside him so that he could peacefully sleep a little longer. Tiredness was visible on his face. You went to the washroom to quickly fresh up. Rizi informed you that the breakfast was almost ready and then you decided to wake Taehyung up. 
You calmly combed your fingers through his hair and called his name. "Tae...wake up." You gently called him. He groaned and moved more towards your touch. "Hey it's morning already. You need to go to work." You gently tapped his shoulder. You saw him slowly opening his eyes. 

"Good morning." You flashed a sweet smile at him. "Mhm, morning." He sat up, still in daze. "Wash your face and come downstairs. Breakfast is almost ready." He nodded his head and made his way towards his room. 
You prepared your books and notes that you would be needing for your classes and headed downstairs. Waiting for sometimes you saw Taehyung  fully dressed up. 

"How is your project going? " You asked. "Ok." Although you didnt like it you were used to his short replies. "Rizi, I will be late today. Don't cook dinner for me. I will eat outside." You informed her so that she and the others didnt have to trouble themselves. "Where will you be?" Taehyung eyes were on you when you informed it. "As my exams are approaching I will be having a study session with Jay. As most of our subjects are similar so it would be helpful for a group study." You bite on your cheese cutlet. 

"Why do you need to go out? You could have had your study session at our home. Next time you do a group study do it in our home." Taehyung wounded a bit angry and concerned at the same time. You didn't know why he was being angry. "When will you come home?" He inquired. "Around 10 pm." "But that's too late." He protested. "Tae, dont worry Max will be there." You said. He didnt say anything and continue to eat his breakfast. 

Max was none other than your bodyguard. You didn't know why Taehyung appointed him six months ago. You tried to tell that you didnt need any protection but Taehyung forbid saying that because of this project he would have many enemies. Both of you finished your breakfast and went outside to see Max already waiting for you. 

"Max take care of y/n." Taehyung said and got in his car. "Okay miss, let get you to tour destination." Max opened the door for you as a soft chuckled left your mouth. He was really playful and always kept the atmosphere positive. 

Taehyung's pov 

There has been seven attacks on y/n in this past few months. Lucky all of those attacks have been handled and y/n was unharmed and unaware. I didnt want her yo get scared to go out. And all the hints led to one person. One person was trying his best to distract me from working but at the end of the day when I returned home and saw y/n sleeping peacefully, my restless heart finally calmed down and all my worries were gone. I love to sleep next to her. Knowing she was near me I could sleep easily. I started to fall for her. And she was everything that kept me going at the moment.
