"WE NEVER GO OUT OF STYLE!" Ellie shouted along to the lyrics. Quite out of tune, might I add.
We were in my car, driving home from the party. I had finally found Ellie in one of the guest bedrooms peacefully sleeping, still in her clothes.
After I woke her up, we left the party, thankfully without running into Alex.
Ooh. That was going to be awkward tomorrow...
I was taking her to my house for he night, and would take her to school the next day. Her mom was going to be mad, but that was Ellie's problem to deal with.
I didn't understand why she had to go and get wasted on a Monday night, but it was Ellie. She wouldn't ever listen to me.
We got home, and I opened the front door holding Ellie up with one arm around her waist, only to be met with my angry mother.
My mom used to be a cop, then got hurt on a raid they did of a dangerous drug gang, and retired. Now she works helping injured police recover.
I could tell she was about to yell at me, but when she saw Ellie, who was now drooling and falling asleep, her face turned sad.
She sighed and said quietly, "Bring her upstairs, and we can talk about it in the morning."
I nodded my head in understanding, and as I passed her, I whispered, "I'm sorry for not telling you, mom. I love you."I got Ellie ready for bed, and after I made sure that she had a bucket in case she had to throw up later, I crawled in beside her.
I turned off the lamp, and silently wished Rowan good night.
After that, I turned on my side, and slept.

A soft knock on the door pulled me from my dream of Rowan and I on the beach, riding in the waves.
"Huh? Who is it?" I asked, sitting up groggily.
Beside me, Ellie began to wake, and my mom came in the door with a glass of water and two pills.
"Here, honey. I thought you might want these." she said, handing the water and Advil to Ellie. Ellie smiled sheepishly, and replied with a small thanks."It's 7, and I thought you might want to get an early start so you could drive by Ellie's on the way to school. Your mom must be worried sick about you."
"Yeah, sure. Thanks mom. We'll be down soon."
She left the room, and I heard pots banging in the kitchen.
I got out of bed, and walked to my bathroom.
"Hey Vic?" "What." I almost snapped.
I turned and looked at Ellie. Her brow was slightly furrowed, and she was biting her lip.
"I...I'm really sorry about all this. I shouldn't have called you. Now you're in trouble with your mom." I looked at her incredulously.
"Seriously, Ellie?! That's what you think I'm mad at? God. No, I'm happy you called me, because you were fucking drunk off your ass, and who knows what could of happened. I'm mad because it's Tuesday, and I got home at 2 am in the damn morning, all because you had to go to some idiot's party, on a fucking Monday night! I mean, seriously Ellie? Is your mom that bad? I understand that she's a controlling bitch who tries to keep a really tight leash on you, and who's rules are incredibly strict, but getting drunk at a party when the week has only just begun? I'm sorry, but that's low. You might think that you're getting back at her, and hurting her by not following her rules, but in reality, you are only hurting yourself. Over, and over again. Grow up, Ellie. I'm not always going to be there to help you. You need to face the facts, and realize, that soon, it might be too late."
By the time I was finished, Ellie had tears streaming down her face, and my eyes were wet.
I looked at her, and turned around to grab my clothes. I opened the door, and went to my mother's bathroom to shower and get ready. By the time I was done, 20 minutes had gone by.
I walked downstairs, and was greeted with the smell of bacon.
My mom sat at the table alone, and told me that Ellie had left and taken the bus to her house, and would text me later.
I nodded, and we ate our breakfast in silence.
After we had finished and washed the dishes, I grabbed my stuff and kissed my mom on the cheek.
"Bye mom. Thank you. I love you, and be safe!" I shouted as I ran out the door, not wanting to miss my bus.
Once I had gotten to my seat in the very back, I leaned my head against the window, and closed my eyes.

It was second period, and Ellie hadn't shown up. I sighed, and looked at the clock.
My eyes widened. Shit! I was late for English.
I ran to my class, and because it was in the other building, I ended up being 10 minutes late.
You would think I would only get off with a warning, but Ms. Hastings, my English teacher, hated me with a passion.
"Ms. Adams? Care to explain to us why you're late? And so out of breath?" The class snickered.
I clenched my jaw.
"I was running because I forgot my books in my locker and didn't want to be late. I apologise for disrupting your class." I said. "It's not like I missed anything important. It's just The Crucible." I muttered under my breath.
Whoops. Big mistake.
It turns out, Ms. Hasting absolutely adores The Crucible.
"Excuse me! Not only are you late, you disrupt my class and insult the book! You have a detention! Leave!" she practically shouts at me.
I got up, picked up my book bag, and walked out of the room.
Bitch.
I opened the door to the detention room, and walked in.
The first thing I noticed was that the proctor was fast asleep. The second thing was that the room was empty except for 4 boys in the back, the proctor, and myself. The third thing was that the four boys in the back were none other than Alex and his best friends.
Shit. Shoot me now. Or better yet, shoot them.
I walked to a chair in the middle of the room, and plugged my earbuds in."My lover's got humour
She's the giggle at a funeral
Knows everybody's disapproval
I should've worshipped her soonerIf the heavens ever did speak
She's the last true mouthpiece
Every Sunday's-"
Suddenly, my right earbud was pulled out of my ear.
I looked over and saw Alex. "Fuck you. Don't touch my earbuds. I was listening to music. Asshole." I was about to put it back in, when I felt someone tug gently on my hair. I whipped my head to the left, and saw Adam.
I rolled my eyes.
"What? Can you not just leave a poor girl alone with her music?"
Alex smirked at me. " I was wondering if you were going to apologize for hurting me yesterday."
I snorted. "You think I'm sorry? You had it coming to you. I was just there to-"
"Pick up your friend, right? The one who was puking and shitting rainbows?" Alex interrupted.
My mouth dropped open, and then snapped close.
"How do you know that?" I asked.
He was about to reply, when suddenly we heard a voice from the front of the room.
"Children, I don't know what you think you're doing, but this is detention, and you aren't allowed to be talking."
The detention proctor had woken up.
--- --- --- --- --- --- --- --- --- --- --- --- --- --- --- --- --- --- --- --- ---
After detention, I was packing up my phone and books I had taken out after the proctor had woken up, when a piece of paper dropped in front of me.I would give you my number, but you already have it. ;) call me, sweet cheeks!
I scowled, and crumpled the paper up into a little ball, making sure Alex saw it as I tossed it in the trash can on my way out. I didn't want his damn number!
Asshole, with the ego the size of Alaska...
I heard a crowd oohing, and looked up to see a large crowd surrounding two girls. Unsurprisingly, it was queen-bee Chelsea harassing another senior, and getting up in her face.
Usually, I would just ignore it and leave, but Chelsea was a total biatch, and nobody deserved crap from her.
I pushed through the crowd so I was behind Chelsea.
"Hey, Chelsea?" She turned and squinted at me.
I already regretted stepping in the middle of this because I could see the wheels in Chelsea's head turning as she recognized me.
Well, might as well get this over with.
"Just leave her alone. What'd she even do to you?"
Chelsea looked shocked that I was standing up to her, then she smirked.
"Hey, you're Victoria, right? Jake's girlfriend? Or should I say, ex?"
My jaw clenched.
"God, he was good in bed. And I mean bed, honey, because that time you caught us? It wasn't the first time. And it sure wasn't the last!" She cackled and stared at me with an evil little smirk on her face.
I knew I shouldn't fight, but it was god-damn tempting.
I chose the mature way, and turned on my heel to walk away, but felt somebody grabbing my hair and pulling me backwards.
I turned back to Chelsea, and chuckled darkly.
Oh, you asked for it, bitch.
I clenched my fists, smirked, and slammed my fist into her nose. She shrieked, and blood spurted everywhere.
I hissed at her, "Leave everyone the fuck alone. And Chelsea?" I leaned in so our cheeks were touching. "Don't ever, ever, touch me again, or you will get much worse."
With that, I leaned away, and walked out of the crowd to the school doors, but not before I caught Alex's eye.
There was a bit of surprise, some amusement, but under it all, fear.
Damn straight, mother-asshole.

PLEASE READ THIS AUTHORS NOTE
A/N-- Hello :)
I'm sorry if this chapter is kind of......serious. I just want to say that this is not a cliche story where the good girl (clearly, she is not a good girl) falls for the bad boy. I mean sure, who knows, there might be sooooome romance *hint hint nudge nudge* ;), but it will not be because she is shy, and he is outgoing and a player. Yes, he is those things, but she is not shy. At least, not at the beginning.......
Just please keep reading and give it a chance.
