I parked my turquoise, spotted bike my mother bought me for my fifth birthday, at the parking lot of the ranch.  The smell of horses, manure, and hay hit my nostrils like a speeding train.  I glanced over my shoulder briefly as I was walking up to the main stable, only to see a mid sized, black curly haired, freckle dotted boy standing, holding his freshly wiped tall boots and leading a very tall black horse.  "Woah.  That's a very.. tall horse." I briefly thought to myself.  I ignored him, walking over to my only friend, Natalie.  She ran over to me with her blonde, straightener burnt hair, with her mud stained boots and her riding clothes on.  She said in her high pitched, looney tune voice,  "Hey Morgan! You're going to try to ride Treasure today, right? I can't wait to see you ride!"  I stared at her silently, rubbing my acne filled forehead, glancing back at Treasure.  He had a wild spirit, just like my mother did.  He was chasing all the other even bigger horses.  Natalie stared at me, slapping my cheek softly.  "Earth to Morgan! Hello?"  I blinked, adjusting my glass, nodding, then walking over to Treasure.  "You have to teach me this whole horse thing.  I have no clue what I'm doing." Natalie grabbed my hand tightly, running over to Treasure.  She slipped a leather halter onto him, making it look so easy and natural.  She led him out of the manure filled green pasture.
