Chapter 33

"What do you fucking mean she's gone?" Night's voice thundered around his office and Hermon flinched as though their Alpha would behead him. Pati ang sampong kasama nito ay yumuko rin ng tumaas ang boses niya.

"Wala na siya sa Bastione, Alpha." Hermon spoke clearly.

Night's jaw chenched. "The Fire Fae King is her counsin, she might just be hiding in his palace."

"We paid a young, castle maid nang lumipas ang isang lingo at hindi pa rin naming siya maamoy. At ang sabi nito, isang buwan na daw wala sa Kaharian si Lady Aira."

Night slammed his fist over his table and the wood cracked. Everyone stared at him wide eye including Logan. For the past decade, si Logan at Hermon ang lagi niyang kasama pero ngayon lang nila nakitang mainit ang ulo niya. Kahit na puno siya ng problema, Night have always been clam but not now.

It have been past one month since Aira went away. The very day she left, he tried to follow her pero umatake ang mga rogues kaya napilitan siyang manatili ng dalawang lingo. When he finally took care of their security, he sailed and enetered Bastione, only to be decline at the boarder.

He almost lost it right then and there. He knew she's there, he can sense it pero ayaw siyang papasukin ng mga kawal. It made him angry to the point he almost killed the guards. At nang makapasok na siya sa Fire Kingdom, he found out she's no longer there.

Hindi niya masundan ang amoy nito since it ended at the palace. Wala rin sa palasyo ang Hari nila. Kahit na ilang beses na siya sinubukang paalisin ng mga kawal, he fought his way and camped outside the castle. He waited for her but she did not return hanggang sa dumating si Herman sa Bastione bearing the news that he needs to go back to Robustos dahil sa isang witch attack.

It was urgent, ten of his pack member died. He failed them. Kaya kahit na gusto na niyang makita si Aira, kahit na gusto niyang marinig ang paliwanag kung bakit ito umalis, he left. His pack needed him more. But that doesn't mean he already gave up.

Pinaiwan niya si Hermon sa Bastione to inform him kapag bumalik na si Aira. Pero dahil iniutos niyang huwag pumatay ng Fae, madali lang silang napaalis ng mga guards.

"It would have been easy if you let us kill the pesky guards. Aira would have been here with us by now." Lander said at the back.

Night already have enough of his childish attitude. Napagod na siyang lagi itong pinapagalitan kaya pinadala rin niya ito sa Bastione, para naman may silbi ito.

"If we kill their people, we are brewing war on their very territory." And Aira would not appreciate it if we kill her family.

"And that's bad because?"

Hinilot ni Night and noo niya habang sinamaan naman ng tingin ni Logan si Lander. This boy would not learn a thing and Night is just tired.

"Go back to your duty," He commanded softly while looking at the clock. It's four am in the morning at wala pa siyang tulog.

Isa-isang umalis ang mga tauhan niya pero nagpaiwan si Hermon. The man knows him already.

"Track her down." Simpleng tugon niya. It would be easy kung isang tao lang ang maghahanap kay Aira sa Bastione, it would not cause attention unlike unsending the whole team.

Nang siya na lang ang naiwan, pinakawalan niya ang galit na kanina pa niya pilit na hindi pinapakita. He smashed the table in half. He vent all his frustration in there. Isang suntok, isang sipa then another strike hanggang sa nagkapira-piraso ito.

Night was never violent, kahit noong puno na siya ng problema he always managed to act calmly but it's different when Aira is concern. Every second that she's not here at his side, he wanted to blow up, he wanted to hit something, anything that could dull the emptiness he felt. He wanted her here. But she left him, she rejected him. And it's driving his wolf crazy especially with the full moon near by.
